I don't know of any that are specifically devoted to lady-boys, but many advertise themselves on the gay personals sites. And, of course, you are probably aware that there are several lady-boy bars in Pattaya.

I go to one bar in Bangkok within walking distance of the gay bars but the ladyboy bar is on the same soi as all the girl bars. It has the most beautiful ladyboys I have ever seen all gathered together.

Who knows what the attraction is. Different strokes for different folks. Why do some people like fat, hairy bear-type men? Why do some people like to spank or be spanked? Why do some like teenagers or old men? Why do some like to piss on or be pissed on? Why do some like women rather than men?

You're probably talking about King's Castle 3 in Patpong. It's one of the six main ladyboy bars in Bangkok. Four others are in Nana Entertainment Plaza (Obsessions, Cascade, Temptations, Casanova) and the other, Guess Bar, a very short walk from NEP.

This is the subject of much debate on the ladyboy forums and no one can quite figure it out.

 

I think it's sort of like Monkey See says, "different strokes". Just like there's no real reason why someone is gay or someone is straight there is no real reason why someone likes ladyboys except that they do.

I have never seen the attraction for someone who is obviously gay but find a ladyboy who looks like a girl very attractive. But, for me, I like the straight looking, acting, tough boys. But, many find that horrible as well. It will always be different strokes for different folks and that is what is so great. There is someone out there for everyone's tastes. Well each evening after their night's work at Alcazar and then Dynamite, a group of 20 - 30 ladyboys and many of their boyfriends come to my house for a night of drinking, swimming, and whatever.

 

I am of course all ready asleep in the house but the guest house and balcony is theirs as long as I am never awakened.

I never understood the lady boy thing. If I wanted a girl I'd date a girl. I also find my self leaving bars because of the lady-boys there. I don't mind a couple in the bar but when they take over its time to leave. And they all seem to end up as waiters or mama-sans that do not take no for an answer. Some ladyboys identify themselves as women. Others simply enjoy dressing as women.

Astrro is my best friend amongst all the falang, expat types I know who either live in or visit Thailand and if he is not available when you go there, and if I am, I would offer the same thing. I am slightly less knowledgeable than he is, but still know most of the ladyboy venues in Pattaya/Jomtien.

We got acquainted at first about 5 yrs ago through our both knowing the lb who was a pre-op and the became a postop, that he mentioned, and I can guarantee there is no nicer more honest person I know of in Pattaya than he.

Also I would also concur with his response when someone asks why does anyone like ladyboys. It like why does anyone like any particular size, color, shape of male, female, ts, whatever. Just different things attract different people. I know the first time I had sex with a ladyboy, I thought to myself, this was what I had been searching for my whole life and did not know it until I had experienced it.

I'm probably the most trisexual person I know of, because I like gay guys too, those who are smooth, super cute, slightly fem, and at least somewhat longer hair, usually, and I also like some females. Though since they are everywhere I so far have not indulged when it Thailand, because all my focus there is toward Lbs and cute guys.

Seattle has the largest group of ladyboys in the nation. Here they call themselves Transgenders and they have a large center just for counceling and treatment here. The center is named Ingersoll, and it was founded in 1977. Every year they hold a big week long party in a small coastal town and they practically take it over. The people of the town (Port Angeles) love them and look forward to their coming each year.

I have two good friends that are Tranis, and while most are males who want to be women, there are others who are women who want to be men. The girls tell me that many have been married, have children and what they really are are men who want to be women to sleep with women. To be more precise, they are men who want to be lesbians!! My favorite venue for viewing the ladyboys would have to be at an outdoor beer bar, the antics and the way they dress make for great viewing and a lot of laughs. They get so carried away on the sois.

 

In Pattaya, the outdoor beer bars that have a mix of GGs and LBs, I find most of those LBs to be generally low key and trying to blend in both in look and mannerisms. The totally LB bars along Walking Street are basically open fronted so in that sense outdoor, but I have not noticed a lot of wild antics amongst those LBs, but then again it's the area I am least likely to spend a lot of time when seeking LB companionship.

In Phuket, it is more likely, in my experience, to see some crazy antics at the outdoor venues on Soi Crocodile and also the ladyboy bar named Cocktails and Dreams. The C&D lbs can be pretty crazy and fun loving much of the time, or so they were when the bar was in the Tiger Complex. I have not been to Patong for a while or since they moved to their current location, though I would not expect their behavior to change much. I really need to get back there. I do like C&D a lot, but generally I find Patong to be more expensive overall compared to Pattaya, and then there is the extra time and effort needed to get there.

I like the ambiance of Paradise Complex too, seen some of the cutest gay guys I've ever seen in Thailand, when just wandering through the complex, so there is a 2nd reason to go there again. Tangmo has a nice mix of lbs and just regular gay guys as for one venue in the complex area.

 

Pattaya for 3-4 week junctures just never seems to leave me wanting for more however and I would just have to make a special trip to Patong and avoid Pattaya first I guess.

I've added the same poll, with two slight modifications. One is "I don't like lady boys" and the other is "Other (please specify)" for those whose answer is not covered by the questions.

 

My own choice was "Other (please specify)." That's because I like boys just slightly on the fem side, but not overtly so, such as the typical lady boy is likely to be.
