The only thing that would make me happier would be for this event to also serve as a fundraiser for one or more of the many deserving charities working too hard and with too little resources. The movers and shakers who will be at this event could also be entertained with a raffle, and/or simply envelopes at their seats to add a little largess to the evening. I know there are fundraisers throughout the year, but any chance we have to solicit support from our frequent, well-off visitors should be used. We may not get a chance to see some of these attendees again this year. Quote
