Members tassojunior Posted June 24, 2020 Members Posted June 24, 2020 A dozen stories today that Europe on July 1 may well keep the US off the list of nationalities that can visit because the US is so bad off in new cases. Ironic since the first NY cases came from Europe. Quote

Ironic since the first NY cases came from Europe. Update: I checked several sites and the one important stat we are not hearing is that, although each has had dynamic regional ups and downs, Europe and the US have had remarkably similar overall stats. Europe has had 175K deaths, the US 125K. The US has had 2.5 M cases, Europe 2 M. Although the US had a mild lockdown Europe and the US had about the same 20K a day new cases until the drastic US uptick this week. But with Europe all open now they are expecting a big uptick (the beaches there, as always, are packed like sardines). The population of Europe is a little bigger and their population much older. I have a feeling the European uptick will get as big as the US uptick. (also there will be no EU rule, it's country-by-country, and they are more worried about Denmark, Norway, and a couple others excluding Sweden and Belgium and creating EU trouble). ). https://www.statista.com/statistics/1102209/coronavirus-cases-development-europe/ Edited June 25, 2020 by tassojunior Quote

Members Latbear4blk Posted June 26, 2020 Members Posted June 26, 2020 Remember that I told you I am reactive. Well, as you seem pessimistic today let me drop a little bit of optimism. Humanity is not completely lost. On Facebook, she denounced a Starbucks worker who asked her to wear a mask. It backfired: He received over $28,000 in tips. axiom2001 1 Quote
