TotallyOz Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I woke up to a chilly 58 degrees F in Pattaya. Nice waking up weather but chilly for the Thais. I had a nice walk along the beach with people covered up for winter. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Also much cooler here in Chiang Mai - which is odd, because it was relatively mild last night. Unlike the glorious blue skies of the last 4 days, the sky this morning is cloudly. I guess a cold snap has definitely arrived from China. Glad Im returning to Bangkok tonight. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I love cool weather but last night I felt cold sitting in a very windy area at the new Tony Bazaar on 3rd Ropad where you can drink and watch some pretty good entertainment on the stage. One of the acts is four ladyboy dancers who are pretty good. The show started right after Christmas and was meant to be temporary but it's a success and will continue indefinitly. Starts at 6 and wraps up at 2. It's not a big area and in the audience I spotted some of the waitstaff from Look Boys Club drinking a pitcher of an iced blue drink. No cover and drinks are cheap. But I could have used a sweatshirt last night. Quote
PattayaMale Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Tonight when I was going to Sunee Plaza on my motorbike I thought it must ne the coldest I have experienced in Pattaya. It was so cold I decided to go back to my house and get a jacket. When I did get to Sunee Plaza I saw several farangs in sweaters also talking about the cols weather. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Hey maybe you saw me PM. I was in Sunee wearing a sweater (first time except in aircon) and talking about the weather. Quote
Guest gorcum Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 hi, Astrrro, what is tony bazar and where on third road is it? Thanks Quote
Gaybutton Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 hi, Astrrro, what is tony bazar and where on third road is it? At the corner of Third Road and Pattaya Tai, Tony's (of Tony's Gym) bought out the entire block and built an open-air international food court, complete with small mom-and-pop restaurants (some of which are open 24/7), small shopping outlets, etc. It's a large complex. Most of the restaurants open during the evening, but some are open all day. I've passed by several times, but have not yet had a chance to stop in and check it out. Quote
