Guest Astrrro Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Decided to check out Tom Yung the other night. Guess it's not the newest bar anymoresince it appears Holiday 2 is reopening. But Holiday 2 won't be getting a review based on the look of the boys outside which appear to be the old 69 Club crowd. The decor of Tom Yung is not too inspiring. The seating is extremely uncomfortable, not sure why because it appears similar to that of other bars; it might be the angle of the back of the seat. There are two rows of this seating and a small sofa at the end. Before my Singha arrived (130 baht) I moved to the sofa. This was a mistake because a bored boy who was not my type was sitting in that area and then turned around to face me and didn't move from there despite my obvious disinterest. This would not be a big deal if I was with friends but being alone I was forced to look over him to view the dancing boys. So I figured I'd check out the balcony even though I don't smoke. The balcony is not a bad area as you might be alone out there with a nice boy. In all the other Sunee bars the outdoor area is much more public. Decor and seating is really secondary; most of us go to gogos based on the quality of the boys. They tend to be on the fem side and although some were kind of cute, none quite cute enough to call one over for a drink. I did not have a great time but I was alone and not in a great mood so YMMV. It's worth checking out so you can make up your own mind. Other customers seemed to be having a good time. Quote

The balcony is a small area with a few of stools and a a table or two which overlooks CockTail Boyz. The balcony would have a better view if say it was above Corner bar. It's not that anything really naughty can go on up in the balcony cause people can see up to some degree just like u can see down. Just something that makes this club a little different than the other Sunee Bars. Quote
