In a court of law, hearsay is generally not admissible.  Oops, this is a political court (of fantasy?), not a court of law.

Best regards,

The current phase, analogous if it needs to be said to the petit jury http://www.almd.uscourts.gov/faq/what-difference-between-petit-jury-and-grand-jury phase of a criminal inquiry, is gathering of evidence -- and here, unlike the petit jury process, in full public view (as just demanded by Repubs & the Pres — then just as quicky denounced by them when they realized their stupidity), as the public has the right to see.

The trial, where the rules of evidence will be rigorously enforced by the Chief Justice, occurs in the Senate in the event impeachment articles are drafted & approved by the House.

Why do you ask me to spell out all this common-knowledge stuff we learned in 7th grade, or at least during Watergate?

We have to do something to annoy one another?

Donald Trump has spent $115 million dollars on golf trips alone. That's 287 years of presidential salary in only 3 years of his first term.

After that amount, many hundreds of thousands ― perhaps millions ― of dollars have gone into his own cash registers, as Secret Service agents, White House staff and other administration officials stay and eat at his hotels and golf courses while he’s there.

Do you think any other President has spent less relatively speaking ?  It cost many, many dollars to protect the President and therefore the costs are as observed.

Yes they have, at this point of their presidency.  Additionally, Trump only (primarily) only stays at his own properties.  He's enriching himself  beyond  what we the taxpayers get to to see.

I have no problem with presidential vacations and get-a-ways. Never before have the presidential vacations and get-a-ways enriched the president so directly as Trump.

I know RA1, you're going down with the ship - don't expect many to join you.

I honestly don’t understand lifelong conservative Republicans like @RA1 (whom I respect for their position) can honestly look at what Donald Trump is doing to this country and standby and support him.

While I have been at times completely consumed and infatuated by certain sexual assault relationships I have had in my lifetime - never did I sacrifice my self worth for any of them. ( ok there was one. Ok perhaps two) but never were they Systematically destroying the democracy of which we have always lived in and known.

I don’t understand how old school Republicans like RA1 can support this president. Jim Jones should’ve been enough for all of us.

I wish Republicans were better than who they are right now. This isn’t about politics, this is about who we’re  going to be in the next 10 years. And if Donald Trump is reelected we will not know the country that we currently reside in. So it’s good to remember this.....
