Members Bucknaway1614502762 Posted April 24, 2020 Members Posted April 24, 2020 It stands to reason that if the commodity or goods are imported, the cost will go up. At this time I've noticed a lot of the guys online have lowered their asking price. The hot guys that seem to be in demand I've either maintained their asking price or even gone up in price. Quote
Tomcal Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 I always pay the same price for the last several years! The guys in general are Not keeping tabs of various currencies and different exchange rates! I said this before “foreigners are not the majority of any saunas business, the guys prices stay in line with what their local customer’s can afford! The only time this has ever been a Issue is when a American or European or Canadian goes there to a sauna talking about how much more are you getting for dollars compared to the reale! Escort prices are not excluded by the demand/supply law...especially in a market where the biggest share of customers is represented by the locals. Exchange rate only affects imported goods, and the gringo rates...so if there where boys asking 400 just becase a potential customer is a gringo, maybe there will be ones trying to ask 600 now. Why not? If one is so stupid to be willing to pay 4 to 6 times what he would have paid by offering a price (100/150 BRL) instead of asking it to a GdP... Chances are the programas will get cheaper because of the 2 following reasons: Lower demand...local sugar daddies will be less and less willing to pay as much as they did. Higher supply...many of the boys (enen their families) have temporary jobs, and most of them have "easy" minimum wage (1'040 reais/month) ones...many will become unemployed...more garotos de programa. It will suck from a human perspective....from a mean customer perspective it will be paradise. Never accept the gringo price, and never ask for the programa's price, for shit's sake. Members Latbear4blk Posted April 25, 2020 Members Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) Unlike Argentina's, Brazil's culture is not U$S centered. In Argentina, prices do not match exactly currency exchange fluctuations, but if the dollar goes up, local prices follow. All prices, not only sex workers' fees. Besides, talking specifically about prostitution, as there is not a public market like Brazilian saunas, there are differentiated fees for local and foreign clients. Not in Brazil. However, I noticed that many Americans think that GPs are quoting them a different fee because they are Gringos. I think this misconception could be coming from not understanding a bargaining culture. In a Brazilian sauna, a GP will always quote a high price first to a new client, whatever your passport is. It is up to your mastering of the game to pay the price you want. I usually negotiate a price that is about 50 Rials above what local clients pay, but I could easily negotiate a lower price. Part of this negotiation is establishing empathy and connection. A likable potential client get better deals. Your nationality has really no weight in the price you pay in a sauna. If you do not know the game, you will overpay whether you are a local or a visitor. Edited April 25, 2020 by Latbear4blk Lucky and sluttino 2 Quote

I know fat or out of shape or overly gross guys will be quoted higher prices in hopes they so no because its too much work... I have also seen/been given a better rate/lower rate based on how attractive you are to the sauna guys.... I have been going to Brazil regularly for a decade (though definitely not as much as you!), and I am aware that I have built a certain reputation amongst the garotos — a good one. The garotos for the most part know what I am attracted to and what I like, as well as what I pay. But like you, Tomcal, I visit often enough to establish that reputation and rapport. The ones most likely to be quoted high prices are those clients who are least likely to be seen again (or at least not for quite some time) by the sauna garotos. Also, as @badboy says, the clients who are found to be less appealing in some way will get a bump in regular rates. And for those here who are extra-sensitive to this topic, this is NOT just about the client’s looks, build or perceived physical attractiveness (although that can sometimes contribute to it). It also includes other things that sauna garotos find to be more trouble to deal with, like anything from certain requested sex acts, to difficult personality, to even body odor or hygiene (all things that I have heard garotos complain about concerning other clients before). Basically, anything that is viewed as more difficult work or less tolerable work, in the garoto’s eyes, can get you a higher price tag from them. Nonetheless, if you’re spending too much time worried about what you’re paying versus what the next client is, then you’re doing having fun all wrong. Quibbling over an extra 50 reais is (as of today) quibbling over an $8.75 USD, an extra 100 reais today is $17.50. Sure, everyone should keep to a budget and not go into their living expenses, but if you’re kvetching over $8 USD, maybe it’s best for you not to travel abroad at all. But in the meantime, I am concerned that crime rates will go up as more and more people become desperate and try to make some quick bucks. A lot of people seem to be tightening their belts. Sorry to rain on your post. You touched on a few very important points. One has to know the local markets extremely well in order to gauge that price. It's way better in a negotiation to start low and end on a high note than the other way around. Also, consistency and reputation help tremendously. But again, the concept of fair price is so subjective. Some guys may double or triple the standard local price, but still have a bargain compared to domestic price. But one thing I don't quite understand is that why would you wanna tell your friends about these over paying clients? Shouldn't you want exclusive access than having everyone go after them? If I were them, I would wanna keep my mouth shut and monopolize that access for as long as I can. After all, it's a limited shelf life business. Don't you want to plan strategically? Quote

Helping each other out helps extend their own business, and makes their own time spent as a garoto easier. Letting each other know about clients is one really effective way to do that. Tomcal, I get that your experience and familiarity to the guys working there may negate the need to negotiate. BUT: I don't think it's a good idea for most of us going to the saunas to meet garotos to not confirm the agreed upon fees BEFORE getting intimately acquainted. Most of the guys are above board, but especially in desperate times like these, more than just a few might create a scene when you're finished and they only then tell you they expect you to pay much more than you had expected. I think it's always a good idea to know going in what the agreed upon fees will be. I speak from a couple bad experiences years ago, when despite my having been there several times over the years, some of the garotos would jack up their rate after we'd finished if we had not clearly agreed first.
