Members Riobard
I visited and took a few shots last September. Worth a visit in daylight if you are in the vicinity, ie, in transit to Lagoa 2.0, as you are likely passing a cemetery entrance. The Consolação side seemed accessed only at either the extreme east and west ends, otherwise walled. Oddly, there was minimal foot traffic on a Friday afternoon walking from Metro Republica, past Hig-Mack and thru to Paulista, but it was practical to walk north from Sé and then loop westerly to capture many notable sights. However, I do not know if this is an indicator of safety, eg, do locals prefer the underground or other vehicular transport in this section of town? I do recall the sun beating down out in the open, though the cemetery offers considerable deciduous canopy shade. The cemetery is vast but I recall seeing only 2 other visitors during my hour there. The walking distance for underground transfer at Paulista-Consolação is isconsiderably extensive, as the Yellow and Green line access points are rather far apart and and do not share station designation.
