I'm planning a visit to the DR. While reading thorugh threads of the past 2 years for tips, I decided to organize the info for the benefit of all newbies. Therefore, the info below isn't based on personal experience; it's the combined product of forum members who've been there and are generous with their knowledge: TennisAce, SolaceSoul, Kevie, Riobard, NoGagSuck, and others (apologies for omitting important names). In a future post I'll summarize tips regarding accommodation and other non-sex issues.

Anyone with any first-hand experience in the DR is VERY MUCH encouraged to offer comments, additions, updates and especially corrections. In CAPITAL LETTERS I inserted questions and requests, but please don't limit yourself to these points.

Slight correction: Francisco can’t really “take” you anywhere, as he doesn’t have a car. He will go with you in your own transportation (taxi, Uber, etc) or on public transportation (bus).

Most definitely Manny, and probably even Freddy, can drive you to Narcisso’s house out in the “country” (about an hour outside the city).

In my experience, most Conde guys cost around 1000-1500 pesos, that’s for a quick session probably around an hour or an hour and a half at most.  Guys that work with pimps cost $2000-$3000 pesos.  I enjoy an overnight stay, so I make sure that the rate Is for overnight.  Otherwise, it’s 3 hours for that rate.  If it’s a busy boy, the pimp will be waiting for him at the agreed-upon time.  Christian has this one guy named Brandon who is beautiful, and in high demand, so his rate is 3500 for overnight, but that’s the most I’ve ever paid.

I have not seen Freddy in years. I have to make a point of contacting him, if only for old time's sake, he was always a reasonably trustworthy guy. The first time I read that he had a "specialty" I was doubtful. These gentlemen are not dedicated organic farmers - they try to get what you want. They don't care as long as they get a tip and/or a cut for their services. I always used him as a driver he was reliably outside the gay bars ready to take you to the hotel or get you safely to and from the Penthouse in the good old "bad" days.

I am still learning the ropes and trying not to hang myself or get tied up in knots by or over them, but my limited experience so far amounted to a much vaster price range compared to Brazil ... 2,000 at the minimum end for rather average but vetted street pickups not very exciting, through to 4Gish the most common setpoint nothing mindblowing yet, up to 8,500 for a very hard driven bargain incl finder's fee for a not widely available stripper dude one of the best bodies in my lifetime but less remarkable face and a bad eye infection (his). I have to say his physique and aubergine were perfect and worth it.  

My sense is that the type of guy I would want in future is up there close to the 10,000 mark ($200USD), far more expensive than the equivalent quality in Brazil, and a great paycheque for RD. Though I think it is likely that over long-stay fishing expeditions and ramping up the Spanish I could discover some remarkable repeatable gems for much less than 10,000. Or knock down higher prices for initially greedy tough-bargainers valuing repeats.

For now, I am getting impressed with some promising listings in Colombia. Let the Tropic of Cancer competition commence!

There is no argument or discussion. I described my experiences and you said essentially nothing, unless you think the more appropriate accurate entire range is a deflated 1000-4000DOP.

I can read. I know what other posters wrote before and following my visits. My Brazil experiences, in contrast, fairly closely match price descriptions on the forum. You can also pay top dollar there for niche providers. 

I myself was not surprised in RD after cross-comparing prices for accommodations, groceries, and things like orthodontic work such as Invisalign.

And I have cross-compared rates for trade for 33 years. 

I debated for months whether to contribute my realities because it is not of tremendous concern that virtual strangers get a bit of a surprise, and I knew what I offered could be heretical. However, I took the forum-sourced knowledge into what were sometimes labourious negotiations, did not rush, walked away from a number of bid passes where providers left good money on the table, relaxed and focused much on sightseeing, let my brain rule, and basically did what I thought were the right things. I accept and like some enacted dominance from providers, but cash slavery has not one single page in my playbook. 

I am very happy with my business skills in Brazil and Spain, as well as decades of strip club bargaining. 

One central problem in comparing experiences is the appropriate restrictions on sharing images. I cannot extrapolate from a pisser or sphincter what somebody looks like ... parenthetically, though, wonder why the hitched Mssrs Tennis-Ace pay for it. LOL

As I have described previously, and one SD broker also co-incidentally quoted to me: "Be real ... there are DOP2,000 guys; 5,000 guys, upscale physique/BB sponsor-seekers, and sugar-daddy-with-yacht golddiggers." Obviously, also inbetweeners.

Look, I don't get an excited diurnal emission over the idea of blowing a guy for the price of lunch. Sure, it's a bonus but not the main driver.  

It is a lot less expensive for relatively full service from a high-end guy in RD compared to my location or NYC. My problem in SD was less the high price range and more the lack of Grade A choice compared to Brazil, where as said previously, fitness model types do not have much of an edge in earnings.

There were certainly some stunners walking El Conde and thereabouts, look-not-touch non-prostitute eye-candy. In Brazil you can get all worked up in public, enter a spa brothel and get it out of your system with great-looking dudes. Believe me, I wish I could replicate something like that in Santo Domingo. And I truly wish I could enthusiastically sign off on the handful of glowing endorsements found here. 

Therefore, instead of incredulous criticising, how about some of you give me some solid tips on finding the guys I want, even if they seem to be inflated in price for whatever your particular values may be. I may as well be rhetorical perhaps with respect to the broader readership, but that actually sometimes happens behind the scenes on the forum without triggering accusatory critical appraisal of an attempt at honest relating of facts.
