Members Lucky Posted June 24, 2019 Members Posted June 24, 2019 So says the food columnist for the Washington Post. I liked her article because I drink a lot of Coke Zero. But, I concede that water is best. https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/food/the-case-for-diet-soda-it-gets-a-bad-rap-but-the-research-tells-a-different-story/2019/06/21/70ad3f54-92da-11e9-b570-6416efdc0803_story.html?utm_term=.bfb7281d1ae0 flipao 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I love my diet coke but all those chemicals can't be good for me. Quote
Members RA1 Posted June 26, 2019 Members Posted June 26, 2019 A friend of mine has horrible migraine headaches. After many years of trying he finally found a doc who prescribed something that helped. One of the caveats about this Rx was the patient had to go off it for a month every year. My friend said after all those years of terrible headaches he would rather die younger than go off the Rx. He is now in his 80's and still mostly headache free. I feel much the same way about sugar free beverages. I also like Zero Coke. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members Deadlift Posted October 6, 2019 Members Posted October 6, 2019 I'm a caffeine free diet Pepsi addict. Glad to hear it's not as bad as everyone says Quote
Members Stratix Posted October 6, 2019 Members Posted October 6, 2019 I’be been trying to quit drinking sodas since yesterday and I was sad but your post brought me back to life Quote
Members MiguelMichel Posted October 25, 2019 Members Posted October 25, 2019 I tried to give up on soda but I couldn't bring myself to ditch it. Water is better though. Quote
Members binse8 Posted January 17, 2020 Members Posted January 17, 2020 Started drinking diet soda because I thought it was healthier than regular soda, but now I can't quit. Lucky 1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 I drink close to a gallon of flat water & seltzer a day, adulterating each glass with an ounce of vinegar tonic: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/261767/apple-cider-vinegar-tonic/ Works all kind of wonders. Quote
Members Europeanman Posted January 18, 2020 Members Posted January 18, 2020 It destroys your teeth Quote

Members Lucky Posted February 27, 2020 Author Members Posted February 27, 2020 (edited) The news today reports that the diet sodas receive their sugar substitutes from China. Coca-Cola announced an expected reduction in those supplies. So, maybe I can quit Coke Zero too! https://finance.yahoo.com/news/diet-coke-coke-zero-shortage-163742056.html Edited February 27, 2020 by Lucky add link Quote

Members Lucky Posted April 5, 2020 Author Members Posted April 5, 2020 Coke Zero is quite popular. Locally I have noticed that stores run out of it faster than other kinds. Recently a sale on Coke excluded Coke Zero. It remained full price! Quote
Members RocketGuy Posted October 15, 2020 Members Posted October 15, 2020 Coke is addictive but it really damage your teeth Quote
Jonesy4444 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 My preference is Coke Zero. Used to be regular Coke but Coke Zero is really close in taste with out the sugar. Quote
Members Ron5172 Posted December 11, 2020 Members Posted December 11, 2020 Coca-Cola Zero Sugar looks and tastes more like regular Coca-Cola. The diet version has never been my favorite. Either way the less sugar the better. Quote
Members BigTexan Posted December 21, 2020 Members Posted December 21, 2020 Coke Zero screws with my mood. I have a crazy reaction to it, so I avoid soda all together. Quote
Members drerector Posted January 10, 2021 Members Posted January 10, 2021 Thanks for posting this article -- I didn't see it. A lot of pre-made protein drinks seem to be (more or less) diet soda with whey protein added. Quote
Members puwe Posted January 13, 2021 Members Posted January 13, 2021 I didn`t drink it anymore!! Quote
