Cheese Quesadillas?

The meat, fish, fowl is so dry here at the nursing home I rarely eat it. So today for lunch I ordered a substitute, a cheese quesadiila. It was delicious! I could have it everyday so I was wondering how healthy it was?

I wouldn’t use the words “quesadilla” and “healthy” in the same sentence.

It’s basically cheese...and bread.

All things in moderation...but no, it’s not “healthy”.

That delicious gooeyness you love? That's all the fat in the cheese that tastes soo good when it melts on the white flour tortilla.

But, if you can't stand the rest of what they serve, maybe that's not so bad. Cheese is pretty good for a diabetic. The tortilla less so, but if you eat it in moderation...

Thanks all.

I've been having lunch in the dining room since last Monday. I didn't know until then that one could request special orders. When one at my table saw my cheese quesadillas he ordered them too!

It really is a shame they cannot cook meat, fish and fowl that is NOT dry.  That can be done without compromising the diet one needs to be following.  It is simply sloppiness or lack of care.  Not good.

Best regards,

I eat lunch in the dining room. I have two sometimes three regular table mates.  I have cheese quesadillas everyday for lunch. I have "converted" two of them to quesadillas. They now them for lunch too. Alas the other person is lactose intolerant.
