Members Avalon1849 Posted March 20, 2019 Members Posted March 20, 2019 Background: I have arthritis in both knees; surgery not an option. Diagnosis was @10 years ago. Gradually getting worse. I would go out once a week to start my car. Last April I fell in the parking lot. Someone saw me and called the rescue squad. I now have Life Alert. I had not been outside my apartment until today. Last week I fell getting into bed; the rescue squad got me up. When I've fallen I was never hurt only black and blue. But I have since been afraid to sleep in my bed. I sleep in my chair in the living room. 5 or 6 days ago when I walk - I use a walker - the soles of my feet felt like I was walking on gravel. Painful! So this morning I had the ambulance take me to the ER and they also brought me home. I was gone @10 hours - 6AM to 4PM. Once there it was 4 hours until I was seen by the doctor but they had me in an exam room. I had blood drawn, an ultrasound, x-rays. Spots on my lungs. Doctor said pneumonia. Doctor gave me a couple of prescriptions. Hopefully that will help with the pain. Quote

Members kjun12 Posted March 20, 2019 Members Posted March 20, 2019 Sorry to hear about your health problems and I hope the Doctors can find something to help you. I use Meloxicam and Voltarin for my knee pain and both help. Good luck. Quote
Members Lucky Posted March 20, 2019 Members Posted March 20, 2019 Plenty of people here are banned at Daddys. But we don't have many Trump supporters since Bucky stopped posting. Quote

AdamSmith Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Have your PCP refer you to a good rheumatologist. He/she can give you a great, very effective set of curatives. Quote

My 90-yo mama whom I came back south to care for 6 years ago has 100% sound heart health, but severe arthritis and lumbar spinal stenosis. A good set of osteo-orthopedic docs + pain management specialists have worked wonders. Quote
