Guest travelerjim Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Nova Platinum Hotel - South Pattaya...good rates! Recently a poster on this or other forums mentioned the great rate he received for the Nova Platinum Hotel in South Pattaya...an Amari Hotel... (a near new hotel formerly occupying the remodeled bowling alley building and property along Second Rd in So Pattaya - just past Soi VC on the west side). So I checked their website out via Agoda reservations and found this quote for room this month: at about US$49.00 nightly including all taxes, fees etc. http://www.agoda.com/asia/thailand/pattaya...inum_hotel.html Play with the dates and you will find availability even this New years Eve week :-) Nova Platinum Hotel Pattaya Info Nova Platinum Hotel is a first class property fully furnished to an excellent, modern and comfortable standard. With its convenient location in South Pattaya, the main entertainment and shopping district are within a moment’s walk from the hotel. Guests will enjoy a tropical garden, a large swimming pool, a jacuzzi and waterslide. The pool bar also provides guests with refreshing tropical drinks and snacks. make your reservation at the Nova Platinum Hotel, please use our secure online booking form. The guest reviews are very good..over 30 reviews to read... I think this hotel is well located on baht bus route to both Boyztown and the beach - 10 baht each way. Easy walking to Sunee Plaza areas. The rates I saw last year when it opened was in the US$100.00 range... so the current economy has brought great value for us now :-) And it is owned by the Amari Hotel group...AND has a SWIMMING POOL!! http://www.amari.com/novaplatinum/ 1722 thai baht includes taxes, fees...not including breaaakfast via the Amari direct website. Enjoy! tj Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 A friend of mine just booked a 10K baht room at the Amari for just 3200. An that's for this week, the peak of peak season. My take is that the mainstream tourist hotels are hurting badly and need to cut prices to remain competetive. But the hotels where gay travelers as well as the straight sex tourists generally stay are doing OK. And the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming. Quote
