Bolsonaro - is the mask slipping with his son?

We frequent travellers to Brazil repeatedly hear from garotos and from Brasileiro friends telling us how wonderful and honest Bolsonaro is.

We often read or hear on news media that Bolsonaro  "will clean up crime and violence and stop corruption and bribes"  - -

Well, well, well -

From reputable  news reports, it appears that Bolsonaro's son could very well be guilty of taking bribes.  Forty-eight unidentified and mysterious deposits of 2,000 reais  each were deposited to his bank accounts within one month, some deposits were made by ATM.   There were many other large sums paid but the defense of the large payments is that they were loan repayments  - sure they  were!

News stories report that Bolsonaro highly admires Trump.

Check out this Reuters news article about one of Bolsonaro's sons:

That is what I am inclined to think about the son and about his father, the new president of Brazil.

However, when I brought up the uncomplimentary article to some of my Brazilian friends (I am in Brazil now) they became defensive and say Bolsonaro will heal the problems with Brazil.

They also say the news articles are fake news to smear Bolsonaro.

Now, isn't that the defense Trump and his family use when they get caught lying and showing their hatred and bigotry.

The most surprising part of the Brazilians blind allegiance to Bolsonaro is that Bolsonaro publicly stated that if he had a son who was gay, he would prefer the son die.

It will be interesting to watch the effects Bolsonaro has on Brazil.

Already, a new law goes into effect this month that will allow ordinary Brazilian citizens to buy guns.  All it takes is for a so-called law-abiding Brazilian to have his legal gun stolen and that will put another gun on the streets.

More to read from today's news.

The plot is thickening

Likely, the guy is guilty - - - - - -

So, Bolsonaro is going to do what Trump said - "drain the swamp"

Too bad he has to start with his own son?

The world news is picking up on this and the situation becomes worse as the son is deeply involved with some very nasty people- killers! Meantime, Bolsonaro's debut at Davos was a dud!

All the Brazilians I know who supported “Tropical Trump” Bolsonaro did so while ignoring his racism, misogyny and homophobia — all because they claimed that he would clean up the crime and political corruption. Sound familiar?

Well, lo and behold, it turns out his son Flavio already has his hand in the corruption cookie jar, and is in business with murderers. Sound familiar?

Also, Bolsonaro was a major FLOP on the world stage with other world leaders at the World Economic Summit. Sound familiar?

You are correct.

See this news report concerning his first lackluster appearance outside of Brazil:
