Visiting Montreal and Toronto in 2019

In 2019 I hope to visit both Montreal and Toronto, Canada.  But I am uncertain as to the time of year.  Right now I think I'll like to visit sometime in September or very early October.  What do you who has been there think?  I would like weather that's conducive for walking; I also like sun, but nowadays, nothing is guaranteed weather-wise.

In conjunction with my visit- what websites should I consult for cultural attributes?  I know the sites to go to for boys unless one has a few about which I do not know.  What site for gay hotels, restaurants, etc.?  I'll patiently await your responses, gents.

Axiom2001,  I would go in September.  This year, it was a hot summer, so Montreal saw temps in the 70s and 80s all month (which is unusually high, normally in 60s/70s) but October it was mostly in the 50s.    As far as gay hotels, the gay area is centered around St. Catherine Street form Berri-UQAM to Papineau.  If you search priceline, you can select the "montreal downtown- latin quarter" for hotels. If you like chain hotels, then the Governeur is in the area, and a Marriott Fairfield will be opening in Dec. There are many B&Bs along with Air BNBs.   You can use trip advisor and search Montreal Gay village , then click on restaurants to get some ideas/reviews on food in the area.  I can't help much on the culture side, I spend my time in the bars , St Catherine, or the Casino when I go.

Thanks a bunch; what you shared will assist greatly.  Perhaps others can chime in regarding what you were unable to provide.  Again, muchas gracias, many thanks!  Merci!

I live here in MTL, ax.

I formerly divided my time with TO due to my consultation work straddling both. That time of year is perfect. If I am not here to show you around or kickstart independent explorations, as I usually travel in the Fall, we will be sure to connect digitally if and when your plans firm up.

Are you thinking VIA Rail, Megabus for the connection?

Thanksgiving is Oct 12-14 weekend when seats and accommodations are usually filled up.

Use us with your Yankee greenbacks, bitch! ;)

Montreal gay village is no longer as great as it used be, but it's still better than other cities. Strip clubs are there, and in August there's Pride as well :)

I've never been to Toronto but several visits to Montreal.  The city has the best collection of Bonsai I've seen.  The city is nice to walk around in and the Gay area is pleasant

Hope you have a great time..

The greatest attraction in Montreal is the quebecois. It's a city of beautiful men. I prefer visiting in hot weather, but winter tourism offers extended opportunities to undress strangers with your eyes.

I'm going to Montreal for a couple days next week.  Last trip I had quite a lot of fun with a guy from Adonis but I think I heard they closed...
