Not as far as I'm concerned. Shortly after HB's death, Daddy was quite verbose about getting his hands on the review archive, or salvaging pieces of it that he happened to have in his possession. He also talked quite a bit about his dealing with HB's family through it all.

"Daddy scraped up whatever remnants of a website he could get his hands on and started his own thing "in the name of Hooboy." '

While what you wrote is essentially true, I still contend:

Your quote is subject to several meanings.

Maybe that's what they mean by "alternative facts." Beyond that, I'm open to be enlightened.

The term "alternative facts" is a disgusting term coined and often used by Trump and Conway to justify their lies.  We will not soil this forum with those words, if you do not mind.

What you wrote is not wrong.

However, it over simplifies the deeds, and omits the paramount issues, of how the site was obtained from Hooboy's estate.

I'm still blond, so oversimplification works for me.

We remain in need of your detailing of what you hint of here.

In Beta testing mode

Funny, the design looks like a step-sister to BoyToy. The color palette is god-awful pukey. The white background here is so much easier to read, easier on the eyes. Like I said, Daddy has no design skill. Too many limitations in pre-packaged software. I really love the bullshit "I-am-leader-hear-me-roar" bullet points. Her love of the "grinch" makes me think she doesn't enjoy Christmas much. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love giving gifts.

I took a second look at the beta version, and this time clicked in the Lounge. The sandstone backdrop is fine (I prefer as much white as possible), but each post has a white background. So it's not terrible.

I decided to do a light dig and had some luck with the page numbers. Took me three minutes. I came across the Hooboy has left the building thread. The thread is a fascinating read. There are other good threads surrounding this one, such as Rick Munroe's tribute. I always thought Rick was a talented writer.

Speaking of death, while there I discovered Tristan Baldwin's post about the death of TravelerNorth. I thought TN was a nice guy, and I know he and TB had a special relationship. I offer my sincere condolences.

The site is in beta, so the links may not always work.

Yeah, this year has been tough with deaths. I met him last April in Palm Springs. Cool guy. An inspiration.

The upgrades over there are looking good. It is not just modernizing the interface's appearance. Inserting Tweets now is super easy and looks great. They are also working in a new system of warnings and time outs that seems to be functioning well. I have been banned and also warned (just in testing mode), all with the proper communications and letting me know why.

The home page looks significantly more attractive, I think.

You do realize these are all built-in features to forum software?

I would venture a guess that the vast majority of members have no experience studying or playing with community software programs. Millions of people own Photoshop (tons of bootleg versions) and have no idea what's available in that program or how to use a majority of the tools.

Some people have a unique way of flicking a switchplate and equating that to a come-to-Jesus moment. After all, let there be light.

I do. I am not complimenting Daddy's coding skills. I am just pointing to an objective improvement. You can give the credit to whoever deserves it.

Clicking a button that writes the code automatically is a gift from code design writers. Most code design writers are leading a good life. They make a ton of money.

I just assumed he moved/shut down forums because of the same legislation that shut down some escort cites.  He did it around the same time.

The other forum is not "shut down" and is not closed permanently.

The owner temporarily closed regular access to the forum in order to make improvements to the site.

If you access the site today, it is possible to see some of the improvements in progress that have been made since the site was temporarily shuttered.

In other words, the site is in a state of hiatus.
