Members meteorb Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 I stayed in Istanbul for 5 days. here is a brief report: 1. Hornet is the most active app. there are lots of escorts who you can find online. 2. Aquarius spa is still alive. I went there twice, one on Thursday at 4pm and the other time on Saturday at 6pm. Saturday is obviously busier than weekdays. Normally there are 5-10 working men, most are 25-30 years old, muscular and some are hairy (stereotyped Turkish men). Nevertheless, on Saturday I met a very handsome twink of 20 years old. The spa is better than I thought (and better than the online reviews in my opinion). the men are not pushing at all. However, some are very "straight" so it is better to talk about details before hand. Some may not even touch your private part. entry fee 50 Lira; massage 100 Lira; extra service, negotiable. 3. Taksim square: There are gays/hustlers/trans sitting right under Monumento alla Repubblica. if you see one, you probably spot the small group around. However, things are subtle now and I don't see a lot going on. I met two men from Russia and turkmenistan one night and had a threesome for a total of 400 Lira in a nearby motel (for 150 Lira). I took a hot balloon tour in capadocia which was a very fine experience, safe and stable and not scary at all. Latbear4blk, Riobard, zazzu and 1 other 4 Quote
Members Tartegogo Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 Thanks for the report! I had no idea what was available in Istanbul. This is great, we are building a proper international Database here. axiom2001 and tassojunior 2 Quote
Members zazzu Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 Nice! I went to Istanbul about two years ago, but I think you had more luck than I did. I couldn't bring any guys back to my hotel so my options were limited. I met one guy via gayromeo and hooked up with him at his apt. I did go to the same spa, Aquarius, and was able to arrange a decent massage with a full service ending. It was a little strange to be in such an openly gay environment in such a Muslim/"anti-gay" country. Turkey is a little more liberal than their other Muslim neighbors, but homosexuality is still taboo there. Unfortunately, the staff tried to shake me down for more money when I was getting dressed in the little changing room/cabin. We had agreed on a price ahead of time, but he tried to get more out of me before I left. I refused and left. Luckily, no one tried to stop me! I did have one additional experience - a guy tried to proposition me while waiting for a tram one night. It felt weird though and I knew it was either going to be for money (which would have been ok) or possibly to be drugged. Not sure, but I had heard something about guys being drugged and robbed in situations like this so I politely declined. Oh, and one other thing - my taxi driver tried to boost the fare by taking a circuitous route to the airport. I want to say that the expected fare was around 50 lira(?) and it was going to end up being like 90-100 lira. Fortunately, I had my map open on my phone and questioned why we went up and around instead of straight over. He got nervous, charged the expected fare and asked me not to report him to the police. Members Riobard Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 Question: at Aquarius the brothel playbook is such that you pay the house for the massage, the masseur NOT being a free agent? Is that why the house staff could try to fleece? Quote
Members meteorb Posted August 1, 2018 Author Members Posted August 1, 2018 from my experience, I paid 50 Lira entry fee to the house and the rest was between masseurs and me. PS: some taxi drivers in Istanbul are very dishonest so be warned. even with meters on, they could double or triple charge you (I don't know what's the trick with their taximeters). They could steal your money too... PPS: there are many sex motels around Taksim square. they all know where to find them. Quote
Members zazzu Posted August 1, 2018 Members Posted August 1, 2018 Agreed on the dishonest taxi drivers. In addition to the airport ride, I also took a taxi for the gayromeo hookup I mentioned above. The driver tried to pull a switch on me when I paid. Whatever the fare was, I don't recall but let's say it was 30 lira. I paid the fare exactly, but the driver called out to me just as I was turning to leave and flashed 20 lira at me saying I still owed another 10. Luckily, I was aware of this scam so I said that I gave him the 30 lira and left. Quote
