Members Latbear4blk Posted July 25, 2018 Members Posted July 25, 2018 My blog's traffic reached the limit of the basic hosting package and I had to upgrade my account. Thank you to all the readers. They are right now starting to migrate everything to a new server, you may not be able to reach the blog if you try. Special thanks to @TotallyOz. Tartegogo, Lucky and TotallyOz 3 Quote

Members RockHardNYC Posted July 25, 2018 Members Posted July 25, 2018 Congratulations on growing your audience. I confess I'm not familiar with your blog. If you don't mind answering, what do you think has caused this growth? Latbear4blk 1 Quote

The few people who did reach out to give me their opinions were always positive and highlighting that the information is fun and useful. I know it is not because of my poor English. I guess it helps that the blog has been up for almost 13 months, and now may be an interesting data base for some topics, specially escorting. It helps that both, Daddy and TotallyOz, owners of the two best established communities of our subculture, have been extremely supportive and generous. It helps that I have now an online presence of about 4/5 years, and a lot of people trust me. I think I have improved my writing if you compare the first posts to the last ones. But I really do not know why. RA1 1 Quote

Can your hosting company give you participation metrics (of any kind)? And do they have any way for you to make a 'membership' page (like here) where readers 'register' in order to get email notIces of new posts by you? Quote

I know who my audience is, from what countries, ages, gender, income, likes, etc. etc.; I know what websites they come from, what I do not know is why they keep coming. I do not have a membership system. You can follow me in twitter and you will have a notification. Quote
TotallyOz Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 The best way is to put a Google Analytics Code on your homepage and it will give you tons of stats. Latbear4blk 1 Quote

I do that. I have the whole freaking set of data. I do know that what brings most of the traffic are the reviews. This pike of traffic may be related to all the reviews I have been posting because of my trip. But now I am back to normal life, I cannot afford hiring at the same frequency I was in Buenos Aires. I am not sure yet wether this is just a temporary pike or I have added a significant number of followers from Argentina. The latter is the most plausible explanation (bah, wishful thinking). Sometimes, you can't always know every piece of data. If English is not your first language, and you're catering to an English-speaking audience, then IMO, it is amazing that you've experienced any growth. Personally, I have very little patience for broken English, written or spoken, unless I know you are just visiting. TotallyOz 1 Quote

So far so good. 1 hour ago, Latbear4blk said: and not even get close to my blog I'm not much of a blog person, but that doesn't mean anything. People read blogs to get specific information. If you're supplying information-in-need, you will always have readers. If you stop, or your info gets old and out-dated, then I suspect readership will go down. Latbear4blk 1 Quote
