Members Latbear4blk Posted January 20 Members Posted January 20 I do not see the need for anything like Fercho in Medellin. I mean as Fercho as it works now. Unfortunately, I did not get to experience the original whore house. Also, what happened with the pre pandemic weekend field trips to a Quinta? Did they restart those trips? Quote
Members macdaddi Posted January 20 Members Posted January 20 Fercho's is still hosting monthly finca parties. He posts the events on his WhatsApp. Tickets are 100.000COP and any activities with the boys are additional cost. The last event (Jan 18) was in Barbosa, about 45 minutes north of Medellín. El Sillón Rojo has also advertised finca events, but I suspect those are more of an open orgy-sex event and not with scorts, although they do feature different hosts daily who are there to get the sex started. There are also several active sex clubs and sex events around Medellín. The Angel's Naked Party is hosting a big event in February in Centro. So plenty of options. joselowe, Latbear4blk, xpaulo and 1 other 3 1 Quote

unisamG2 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I'm planning my first trip to Bogota - For those of you staying out late in Colombia, how is the availability of safe transport (uber, taxi) late at night/early AM? Specifically should I be able to get an uber from Theatron to my hotel on a Saturday night. Not sure how safe it'd be on foot although it'd only be a mile walk. From youtube it seems that Saturday nights are quite busy around the night clubs in Bogota which is good. Quote
Boy69 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Weekends can be very busy at Theatron area lots of people around and very hard to find available taxi , I didn't feel unsafe but I was there with local friend who took care of me. Walking on foot alone very late at night doesn't seems a good idea for me the only 2 areas I felt safe in Bogota are Centro de Convenciones and La Candelaria. Quote

Google maps shows a hotel directly across the street from Theatron. Might be a good backup plan to spend the night there. Quality looks questionable but better than being mugged. Quote
Members macdaddi Posted January 26 Members Posted January 26 The neighbourhood around Teatrón is very safe even late. If you need a taxi, best bet is to walk the 3 short blocks to Carrera 7 (beside the petrol station) which is the main North-South corridor for the city. You should easily be able to catch a cab within a few minutes to your hotel. There are several clubs that stay open past the 2am closing time (like Theatrón) in the area, so there are always crowds moving around that neighbourhood on weekends, even late at night. floridarob and Latbear4blk 2 Quote
Members Latbear4blk Posted January 26 Members Posted January 26 If you are sensitive to noise, you may want to camp not so close to Teatron. All the are north of Chapinero is very safe, I think, and just a few minutes away from the mega disco and the gay bars. I rented an airbnb in a 7th floor about two blocks away from Teatron. I could see the place from the windows. Usually, I do not mind about noise as my sleeping is heavy. However, the music coming from the disco was loud and quite annoying and on the weekends would last up to almost noon. Quote
unisamG2 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences. I'd likely be staying one mile of north of Theatron near the Hilton(s). Quote
Members Latbear4blk Posted January 27 Members Posted January 27 I just checked my report, my memory sucks. I was on a 15th floor, and the music from Theatron was still annoying. @unisamG2, if you like good food, I can recommend an authentic Spanish restaurant: Gastrobar Vitapas. I think it is a 15' Uber ride from your hotel. Good prices, good authentic Spanish dishes and wine, and good service. Two years ago, all 3 floor staff were gay, 2 of them hot. The other one is the owner, a 70 years old Catalan man. Gastrobar Vitapas Boy69 1 Quote
unisamG2 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Thanks for the restaurant recc! In general, is Uber preferred for transport over the yellow taxis? Quote

I have never had an issue with a yellow cab in Bogotá, but I have heard stories about other's experiences. Since this will be your first trip, I would suggest you rely on Uber -- they are reliable and cheap in the capitol and you have the added security of their tracking system. The taxis at the airport are also dependable and cheap, a trip to central Bogotá during the day should be around 40.000COP, even cheaper early in the day. unisamG2 and xpaulo 1 1 Quote
Members davet Posted January 28 Members Posted January 28 I think I walked from Teatron to my cheap hotel in Chapinero, but I'm like that. Chapinero seems pretty quiet and safe. Parts north of Chapinero get ever more affluent and chic, so you should be okay. There are some excellent Michelin-style froo-froo restaurants that would be $300 a person in the US but less than half the price in Colombia. Leo is very well-regarded. But other than these bargain high-end restaurants (whose chefs and staff trained and worked in Europe), my favorite Colombian eateries are the chicharron chains. You get a cup of deep-fried tasty, salty pig pieces with a twist of lime and a beer. Life can't get any better than that!. Aand the folks on this board can't possibly be worried about the dietary effects of what they put in their mouth. macdaddi, unisamG2, xpaulo and 1 other 1 3 Quote

There is a cluster of high-end (and Michelin starred) restaurants along Calle 64 and Calle 63 north of Cra 7 and the tiny streets (and alleys) that connect them. Guessing the proximity to the Financial District and the Four Seasons 4 blocks away makes for a good clientele. There are some amazing options to explore there -- as a group of four with the 4 courses and two bottles of Italian wine the bill came to $175 USD. Quote
Canadianbtmguy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I’m planning on going for a week, splitting my time between Bogotá and Medellín, (reluctantly I guess I will have to defer Cucuta, which sounds like a Shangri-la, albeit a lawless one) As to where to spend the weekend, It seems that there are particular advantages to Bogota, namely because of the strippers at Theatron.(although reports seem quite mixed whether that will get me anywhere other than horny🤷♂️) is it still the case that they are there only Saturday 11-2? Or are they around before, but it’s just not busy? (In Brazil I love to arrive early to the saunas when there are few clients and the boys are “fresh”) if that is the case that the Theatron strippers are only Saturday, it is the Gigolo for Friday night? Google lists the hours as 8-1, correct? Is the selection the same at say 8:30 as at 11? Would it also be a good idea on Saturday to begin with the gigolo and then proceeded to Theatron? Despite the many admonitions to make online contacts with cam boys in advance I regrettably don’t have the attention span required, especially since I don’t find the chatting appealing, or bate-ing, for that matter (if it did I probably would be such a slut). I’m a little worried that, as a result, I won’t be giving Colombia its fair chance (kind of like going to Brazil without garotoscomlocal) Quote

Volunteer clients could also join in. I guess sponsoring isn't a big stretch from that. Out of curiosity, each of the four times I went to St Moritz in the afternoons there were quite a few guys going up to the third floor... is there another type of business up there? Quote

The people there are particularly friendly. I had a weird little panic attack when I was leaving a supermarket with some bottled water, I hadn't grabbed the receipt and I noticed a security guard checking receipts at the exit. I got all flustered, he locked eyes with me and told me in English everything was okay, then gave me a fist bump. I've never experienced empathy like that from a young man.... and he was really hot too. Hooked up with a hot guy off mileroticos and a guy working at the gay sauna's front desk. Nothing to do there except have sex really, there was a pool at the hotel/casino across the street from my airbnb where you can pay, not much, to hang for the afternoon, lunch is part of the deal. Cucuta was recommended by one of the others on this site and was really glad I went. Quote

Gigolo Erotic House; stripper/gogo/dancers with some small private lap dance areas, usually an overlap with the masseur trade downstairs; I believe same management. Hit and miss. Just know that you are paying much higher than the standard rate in Colombia, but most of their scorts speak reasonable English, if that is a plus for you. I just perused their website. Prices are up to 3 x's or more rates I saw in Skokka website..... Latbear4blk 1 Quote
