I am planning a short trip to Colombia, first time ever, with my husband and trying to decide between Cartagena (better for my husband as it would be a beach hotel with just some trips into town for sex), Medellin (my favorite, mostly sex) or Bogota (sex and a bit of visiting, I guess).

The key decision will be based on the best places where you can find hot guys, choose among the merchandise, and invite them to come to a bedroom (right there, to a love hotel, or to our hotel) for an hour.

So, with these esteemed member's help, can we list the clubs / bars / saunas etc. where we can choose among many guys and make a monetary offer to them?

Medellin: I only know of Club Tobi. Any other?

Bogota: Is Theatron a place were we can buy young trade? Or is it just a gay club where 45-year-olds with not much muscle are going to be ignored?

Cartagena: Anything there? Are some of the many gay bars in the San Diego/Getsemani area for trade?

Also open to Baranquila info, if recommended.

Cartagena is so lovely but it seems far more guys are available in bogota and Medellin.   Personally I’d go to Medellin and Cartagena to get both big city living and coastal resort.  Barranquilla is pretty big but isn’t that charming if your time is limited.    Santa Marta is lovely too!   Tayrona Park is very nearby.   But there aren as many guys to choose from.  It’s more of a take a guy there type of place.    I’m not sure about clubs as it’s been a few years.   I do know there is a new gay strip club in bogota called gigalo erotic house.   Or something like that.    They have strippers and on fridays sex shows.   I’m not sure if the dancers are also hustling on the side but it looks fun to check out.

Medellin has a gay hustler street with a gay sex hotel. The only ugly guys in Medellin are there. Other than Club Tobi, the best way to see Medellin meat-on-the-hoof is Chaterbate where maybe 1/4 of the rooms are from Medellin. It's an especially tough town if you don't prearrange some guys. 

Bogota has a huge gay part of town and Theatron's top floor has naked erect flesh begging for money. There are maybe a dozen gay clubs with"massuers" but they are more expensive than Medellin and you don't get much.  Also, unlike Medellin, Bogota is not noted for great looking guys. II's worth the trip just for the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum. (Medellin, Botero's home, has one too). 

There's 3 completely different areas: the Caribbean coast with mostly black guys and beautiful resorts and beaches, Medellin with mostly Spanish and Spanish/Mixed, and Bogota high in the Andes with a mix of Spanish and Incas.

All the Columbian threads are lost among the multitude of Brazilian threads in the South America section. This is why our Prague thread is so good; it's one continual thread for several years where everything is. I tried to find most of the past couple year's Columbia threads. Of the several gay massuer places in Bogota I found St. Moritz had the best looking guys. Club Baltimore was the worst and not in the gay area.  Chapinero has over 100 gay bars and places. Theatron is in it's center but many are on the north side and next visit I would probably stay at the Holiday Inn just on it's  north side. Bogota is a gigantic very modern, almost European city. 

The hustler bars and the sauna on 57a in Medellin are really disappointing. In a city famous for good-looking people it's odd there on 57a that guys are so ugly. There are gorgeous guys all over Medellin who almost seem to flirt they're so friendly, but popping the question is a skill. Hairy Americans are a sought-after prize there as few Colombians are hairy. I remember one gay waiter in a straight cafe showing me his co-worker's hairy chest like a work of art. The guys on Chaterbate are stunning and very agreeable to meet usually. But there are only a few gay nightclubs.   

Club Tobi is unique in that it only has 2 or 3 masseurs on duty at a time but they are usually very attractive, very cheap ($20), and very willing to just go straight to sex. Just tell the guy as soon as you're on the table what you want. Or just start. The club is beautiful and clean with attractive customers. Physically it's between Paragona in Zurich and Thermas in Barcelona. Next time I would go there straight and network from the guys working there. Otherwise Medellin can be hard for hook-ups on the fly. There are a bunch of "Prepaygos" on Grindr but I didn't try any.  When you fly in take motion pills for the cab ride over the mountain from the airport. Everything in Medellin costs half what it does in Bogota and is nicer. And it's always warm and sunny while Bogota is always damp and cold.

Don't worry, no blond pale skin guys in Columbia. I did find a couple hot ones with blue eyes in Medellin though. Even if a guy isn't my admittedly very very narrow type I can appreciate that he's a good-looking guy, and there are plenty of all types in Colombia. And I love the hairlessness and muscles. The old "rule" is Bogota is Inca, Medellin is Spanish, and the Caribbean coast is black. But they mix more now. From Argentina, I think you will feel very at home in Colombia. The guy on the left was the doorman at St. Moritz who didn't used to massage or escort but I'm sure that has changed by now. The other two are typical of the business guys but they will hustle for less action for more money. The place physically is a dump; nothing like the very modern Babylon Sauna up the street, but I liked the guys a little better. The mostly Inca guys at Babylon I saw could best be described as "stoic" but never as friendly. I'm sure the crowd has changed. 

At both places "you get what you pay for" is more a wish than a rule. As opposed to Medellin, in Bogota you are dealing with "city slickers". Get a guy firm on what he will do or you may well just get an expensive massage. I'd pick a favorite and arrange a hotel date.Both saunas are around 73rd Calle. on the north end of Chaperino where the financial district starts. (nice hotels). Theatron is down around 54th. South of Theatron, even though it's still gay, doesn't have much.

Out of the 100's of gay places, these 3 are the best.

Can we keep this thread as "the" Colombia thread? It seems every month or so someone asks "does anyone know anything about Colombia?" And each visitor posts new threads that all get lost in the many Brazil threads. The Prague thread is so wonderful because everything is in that one thread in chronological order. No one has to search outside that thread. 

Colombia is very cheap and fast to get to, is a huge gay mecca, has inexpensive and eager guys , and they are super good-looking. I think it's going to grow in popularity.

In Medellin the bars, the gay sex hotel and the sauna on 57A are strictly hustlers. The gay sex hotel is above one of the bars. That sounds great except some of the guys are ugly and the others are more ugly. I hope that's changed. 

There are supposed to be at least a couple big gay nightclubs in Medellin where young possibly-haveable guys hang out. I didn't go. They're in  Parque Lleras in Polabo and Laurelios/Estadio in the center west of Club Tobi.

If any of these parks or cruise areas are directly on the west side of the cathedral, beware. There are a couple gay places listed there but "Not for the faint-hearted" is an understatement.

In Bogota I'm not certain it was Boys Online Private Cabins but one highly-touted one was complete zero customers. Another was a pretty gross sauna-like sex club that had surprisingly good-looking customers but no rent. They were both in the area just southwest of Theatron. 

Medellin. The airport's way on the other side of those mountains and the taxi drivers take hairpin curves at 80mph in little sub-compact cars. 

The mountains in Bogota are much higher (Capital City of the Andes), but the airport ride is easy. Medellin is where the Andes end and Spanish America begins.  

Bogota and Medellin are only 120 miles apart but it takes 18 hours to drive between them. From Bogota to Lima, Peru the Andes are pretty much impassable.

Sadly my experience in Colombia has been sauna- and rent boys from Grindr-free.  All my experience is with Chaturbate models from Day 1. So I do not have any wisdom to share about these establishments, even if I've been to Colombia so many times now.

But I wanted to add here my experience in Santa Marta from last weekend. Santa Marta is a one of the major cities along the Colombian Caribbean coastline. Its way less full of western tourists than the more developed Cartagena, but really popular with locals and Venezuelans so you get a different experience. Some points:

1. It was the Festival of the Sea (Fiesta del Mar) in Santa Marta last weekend, and I was there with 2 of my regular Chaturbate buddies (who are boyfriends in real life and on screen), who met me at the Barranquilla airport, which is a good 2 hours from Santa Marta, but has way more flights to it than the smaller Santa Marta airport, therefore it is cheaper to fly into. We Uber'ed it from the airport to the closest bus station, which was with a company called Berlinas. The ticket to Santa Marta was $5 per person, and it was a comfortable 2-hour ride to the Santa Marta Berlinas station:

2. There are two main destinations for beaches in the Santa Marta area. One is Rodadero beach, which is located south of Santa Marta proper, and its probably the less hectic and more picturesque of the main beaches:

3. The main beach is by the Bahia area in Santa Marta, which is busier but noticed more locals than tourists, which is good for window shopping for local eye candy:

4. Since it was super hot and humid almost all the time here (apart from the occasional showers), the boys are also usually sin ropa:

5. Since it is Colombia, you'll also find a lot of entertainers in streets. breakdancing hotties, for example:

6. During the special weekend I was here, there were a lot of parades. One of them was a parade of Marines from various latin american countries (Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru etc), and therefore the town was filled with good looking fit and young marines celebrating with everyone:

At night, the main parade, Desfile del Mar, was at least a 7 hour parade that went from the afternoon to night:

7. As far as gay establishments are concerned, I do not know if there are any saunas here. But bear in mind that Santa Marta is just 2 hours from Barranquilla, a city that has at least 5 Chaturbate/Cam 4 studios (that I know of). My model buddies had two best friends, also Chaturbate models, who also made the journey to Santa Marta this weekend as well, to escort. They told me that from time to time, models in Barranquilla usually take the bus to either Cartagena or Santa Marta to take advantage of the presence of the tourists in those cities, in the hopes of scoring some needed cash. They usually charge $25-$40 a session, which will usually pay for a night in their motel and their meals and passage for the day. Multiple customers make the trip worthwhile. At the very least, one customer makes the trip break even for them, so at least they get a trip out of it, instead of being stuck in the more inland Barranquilla. Snagging more customers meant extending their stay and living the beach life.

They use Grindr mainly to ply their wares. Since I was with my two Chaturbate buddies (who are territorial and don't share me with anyone), I could not sample what was on offer that weekend, but my Grindr blew up anyway. There were just too many boys on Grindr looking, either free or paid. It was a virtual smorgasbord:

8. Speaking of gay establishments, the only gay club in town is "Voltage" a decent open-air dance club with a runway in the middle of the dance floor. There was a cover on a Saturday night ($4.50), and the music was the usual reggaeton and gay pop music that Colombians love, which was fine by me. My Chaturbate buddies invited the two other Chaturbate best friends along to go with us, after all their escorting duties were over of course (11 PM). The two guys paid for all our covers (it was a lucrative day for one of them), and I offered to pay for the drinks (seems fair). We opted to sit in the "VIP" section which was on an elevated platform overlooking the dance floor, which to me seemed a perfectly comfortable way to spend the night in.

We were greeted by the drag queen (trans) in residence, with a waiter in tow, and she explained to us how it worked in the club, and what was in store for us that night. We came at a good night it seems. And our waiter who waited on us the whole night was hot:

I paid $55 for a bottle of Buchanan's deluxe and some Coca Colas to wash it down, and surprisingly it was more than enough for the 5 of us for the night:

It was a good night because the place was packed, and it was the coronation of Miss Trans Santa Marta that night as well:

I'll say that this VIP section was a good idea, because it looked crowded down below with the masses, and up here we had the luxury of sitting in comfy sofas and talk without shouting.  It was a good vantage point for the ceremonies as well, with the contestants and judges talking to us while the contest was going on:

The main drag queen for the night, Kassidy, sat and drank with us and shot the shit. She was uber cool:

Incidentally there was a gaggle of Chaturbate models with their boss in one of the tables that night. Since I already knew the boss I asked our waiter to get them a cheap whiskey bottle on me ($20). I scored brownie points on that one. Will collect on this favor later

We left around 4 AM, with festivities still pretty much ongoing when we left. 

9. Lots of AirBNB options for the area, and the one I chose had a king bed big enough for me and two chaturbate models. The building we stayed at didn't seem to mind letting the two other models in with the three of us, and all 5 of us were able to enjoy the two rooftop pools in the building.

Overall Santa Marta is fun, but I would recommend it only if you are already in Barranquilla looking for a diversion, or visiting Tayrona National Park (fabulous by the way, a must visit). If hiring boys is a priority, lots to choose from on Grindr, mostly cam boys, but there are superior offerings in Cartagena, which is 4 hours away, and of course in Medellin and Bogota. The more choice boys along the Colombian Caribbean prefer whoring in Cartagena because there are more gringos there, but justifiably they will charge a little more because it costs more to stay there for the boys. However, I maintain that there are more choice free boys in Barranquilla in general, relative to Colombia, for some reason. Haven't had my Grindr blow up so much in Barranquilla.

Unfortunately we did not ask when we were there last April. Maybe you can have luck contacting Theatron on their Facebook or Instagram?  Maybe not ask them if their dancers are hireable per se, but maybe ask them for the model's personal Instagram pages, and then ask the models there.

I did ask my guys if any of the strippers were hireable, and both said maybe not. They even remembered one of the dancers not wanting to be touched while dancing, so they said maybe that's a sign. I looked in my camera roll and found some evidence of it:

But they told me that they could ask them personally if they were back in Theatron. So maybe you can find a local hire to do some investigation for you while you are there.
