Members Lucky Posted July 4, 2018 Members Posted July 4, 2018 One thing for sure, it isn't all about money. I have been with Tomcal in Brazil, sat with him at the saunas, and have first-hand observations on how people react to him. He gives off an aura that Suckrates can only dream of- it's warmth! People react to that. He smiles a lot, welcomes everyone. He isn't a vending machine for food or drinks or sex. Life at the saunas day after day might become a grind for the garotos, but tomcal shakes it up. There's always something happening when he is around and the guys react to that. I can't do it, that I will easily admit. But this knocking him for his success is unseemly. Be happy for him. He shares here so much information that the forum would never have become the success it is without him. RockHardNYC and tassojunior 1 1 Quote

I have no doubt that he has an amazing personality and guys are drawn to him, especially after traveling to Brazil for other 20 years I think the point that was made by the other guy is that money talks... Its cool to fantasize the sauna scene and the hot boys in Rio for loving us (any of the guys who actually travel to Rio) for our looks or bodies or personalities but it definitely boils down to MONEY...then how you treat somebody If you know that you will get guaranteed money on a bi monthly or quarterly basis, you will keep ties with that person especially IF you enjoy their company... You can disagree with somebodies views without it being an argument or a battle of balls... ***I like reading some of the views that guys post on here on how they deal with guys and how the guys deal with them... Unless the relationship is monogamous and you retired the sex worker, this aint Pretty Woman... Again, not sure WHY I always feel the need to say again in regard to commenting on something said about Tomcal (probably because I don't want shit with his Tomhive) I am not taking anything away from him but lets play a game Tomcal goes broke (knocked on wood that does not happen) he changes how he travels to Rio or where he stays or how he treats the guys who regularly spend his trips with him...(how generous he is able to be) Im sure things would change JUST like that really good looking girl or guy that used to get stares all over the place that gained a ton of weight or that ex ball player that used to be the shit when they were playing and since retiring, are suddenly a nobody... That being said, Good for him for being able to do what he can... If you want to be able to have 4 guys stay with you when you travel to Rio, he is your man on info and pointers... Popular Post Tomcal Posted July 5, 2018 Author Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 I have just read al the comments and i am smiling! First of, this is a escort review site! ESCORT REVIEW! I have been telling various Americans for years when they say they are in love with a garoto that if they are really in love, then they should say to their Brazilian BF “My love i have lost alll my money in the stock market but at least we still have each other!” and watch how fast their ass is out the door! :-) now keeping that in mind, i know for a fact that the sauna guys like anyone, have clients they like better then others even to the point that they(not all)would take less money and go with one person over another! There is a wealthy American that has been going to Brazil for as long as i have and due to his personality and general nature is not liked by the boys or his fellow Americans! He is pompous, Arrogant, etc., makes no attempt to know one word of Portuguese. One day about 3 years ago i ran into him and he says “you know all the guys are asking $200 - $300R now and have been for almost a year! this means he has been paying that much since 2013! when i was sitting with several guys one night at the sauna and he walked in and the guys all universally groaned! i smiled and asked them why ? they said none of them liked him and they all told him their rates were 2 to 3 times what their normal rates were hoping that would discourage him and if he didn’t at least it would make it more bearable to have to be with him! i have over the years learned at least in my case, if i make it as enjoyable as possible for the guys as i can that i want to see on a regular basis it becomes more fun for me too! while i agree with most comments above, i think only a fool would make statements regarding the sauna scene in Brazil without ever having been there as while some generalities can be assumed to be the same worldwide there are definite differences in culture, gay relationships in different non US/Western European countries! as example, in mexico where my last trip, of the 12 guys i was with, 9 we’re free! In SoCal i am dating a 23 yr old off of grindr for over 1 year, my point being it is becoming more difficult at least for me to say in fact “this is the case or you will find..,” That is why i try to always say Imho or in my case or experience... Regarding the above instance, if the boys are there with Tomcal (or any of us, for that matter) because they like his money, his house, or his winning personality.... why does it matter? Everyone is getting exactly what they want (unless it’s romantic, storybook, true love — then sorry, you’re out of luck and if that’s what you seek, the WTF are you doing on this website? Might I suggest Match.com instead?). Tom seems to be living his best authentic life and has the financial means to make it happen. The boys he is with seem to be getting paid in some agreed-upon form or fashion AND enjoying themselves along the way. I don’t want to speak for him, but Tom really doesn’t seem to be the type (unlike a few others on this board, perhaps even the poster I am responding to, based on his above posts) that deluded himself into thinking that these guys would be hanging with him if he weren’t a good material provider — great company or not. He seems more like the “it is what is is / que sera, sera / live and let live” / I-Ching philosophy type that accepts the arrangements for what they are — and this is probably why he seems to enjoy himself so much and get along with so many of the boys so well. That being said, there are probably some people whose personalities are so nasty or caustic that even a well-paid date would cut the date short or give a refund. I confess I don't really see the difference between what you said and what I said. RockHardNYC and Latbear4blk 1 1 Quote

This most likely is not something that Tomcal started doing on his first few visits. It’s not a “garoto” thing. There exist easy -- indeed, not even requiring any action on your part -- ways to make evident to them that you are worth more to them alive than dead. Popular Post TotallyOz Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 I had friends who hired escorts from my agency in NYC many years back. I told them all to NOT fall in love with an escort as once it starts with money, it will always be about money. That said, there are always exceptions. Some boys prefer to go with certain clients and would often do so over greater financial opportunity with others. Part is the way in which they were treated and part was a connection they made with someone. Money or no money, every human makes connections that we do not understand as it is not part of our experience. I have spent time with Tomcal in multiple places and yes, they love spending time with him more than most others in the sauna. They are still there looking for money as it is their job but I have seen many sit with him all night hoping for an invite. That said, some will wander in and out and if another opportunity comes along, they take it and Tom is happy for them. It is often mutual. Everyone has their own experiences and expectations. Back to NYC. I had one client who was such an asshole that I could not get boys to go with him. After repeated calls to book guys, I finally told him the reason. He was floored. He said that it was not true and that this was their job. My response was that job or no job, they have choices and they choose not to go with you. So, this guy was on the other end of the spectrum that all my boys adored and wanted to go with. Treating someone with kindness and respect goes a long way. Members tassojunior Posted July 5, 2018 Members Posted July 5, 2018 You really don't have to pay to be friends with most of these guys. It's not like prostitutes have scores of friends (tho they tend to have more gf's than expected). Especially if you help them with their business they appreciate it and you have a common interest. I'm surprised they have that much free time though. My own preference is hanging out with one not multiples, otherwise they are hanging out together at my place instead of with me. I try to schedule guys socially by ones but, it is hard to turn down groups if the choice may be being alone. I haven't been to Rio in a decade or Mexico for 5 years so my (extensive) experience is US/Europe. Badboy81 1 Quote

I remember fondly, 45 years ago, my first trip to Bangkok. While I hired regularly in LA, this was the first time hiring in a foreign country, and the first time I was traveling abroad. I was traveling with an older friend who had been dozens of times. I don't think I could have been more excited. As we came in on final approach, I half jokingly said to him, "Any last words of advice?" He looked at me dead serious, and said, "Yes, keep your wits about you, this ain't LA, and if you get in trouble here, you can't call your lawyer, nobody will care about you, so have fun, but be smart." I asked him if that was it, "No, one more thing, don't fall in love." I laughed, he wasn't. "I'm serious, this is all a game, that's it, it's all just a game. You'll spend two weeks with a boy, and have a fantastic time. He will say all the things you want to hear. Then you'll leave, and before you get to the airport, he'll be in someone else's lap, saying the same things to him, that he just said to you. As long as you understand that, you'll have a ball. Over the years, I was always kind, respectful, and generous. On more than one occasion, I would have a boy leave a client when he heard that I was in town to come and stay with me. I have not been to Brazil, but have done similar in many parts of the world. I do read with great interest, the travels of Tomcal. His posts make you feel as if you were sitting right next to him at some bar, talking to the boys. He is a great contributor here, but I think he gets it. You have to keep everything in perspective. I hire fairly regularly in Fort Lauderdale. I love the stripper boys, but I have no illusions, on any given Saturday night, if I wasn't paying, I doubt they would call. Forty five years later, dozens of country's, thousands of miles, many many paychecks gone, to this day I don't have one single regret for any of it. Except for a few bumps along the way, and a few wrong roads taken, It has been a life well lived. In a recent move, I found a box buried back in the closet. It was a box of old pictures of some of my trips to Pattaya. I found myself smiling, and remembering as if it were yesterday... All the best... paulsf, AdamSmith, SolaceSoul and 5 others 2 6 Quote
