My husband and I handed him copy of our passport

At the counter, I also showed the guy at the desk the business card I had given to the escort.

I am glad that you had as grand a time in Brazil as most of us do, who visit there.

You found out for yourself, in person, that all the reports you read here and elsewhere about Brazil were and are true.

Brazil is wonderfully unique, as you just discovered.

I am curious about why you handed the guy at the sauna check in a copy of your passport.  The only visitors to Clube 117 who need to show identification at the saunas are the garotos (sauna guys).  The saunas in Brazil keep a copy of identification (R G) of all garotos who work as garotos.  This is done, supposedly for client protection.

If you use airbnb or use a hotel or go to one of the hourly sex hotels or check in at the airports (including immigration), you will need to show identification.  If you buy a local SIM card you will have to show identification.

Otherwise, no one in Brazil cares about identification from foreigners.

You did not say if you plan to return to Brazil.  If you do, you might want to consider including a visit to Sao Paulo.  In Sao Paulo there exists the most famous and one of the nicest saunas (with garotos) in the world.  The name of the Sao Paulo sauna is Lagoa.  You can read about Lagoa sauna in other threads in this forum.

Suggestion that you check out Lagoa is not a put down on Clube 117 which is a great sauna.  I recommend Lagoa because you liked Clube 117 so much, your next trip to Brazil might be yet another great surprise if you include Sao Paulo.

A couple that plays together, stays together.   I too used to go to sex clubs with my partner (God rest his soul) , but this is going back over 20 years before apps.  I found it the hottest thing to watch him with OTHER guys, I dont know why?   And it certainly erased any stress of having to sneak around and "cheat".  He was OK with it, and so was I.... however we NEVER brought anyone to our HOME, which we viewed as our "personal" space.... If you both are on the same page, this type of "open" relationship can be very healthy and long lasting.

Great post! Question: what are “slides”?

Sandal like footware,  you just slip into it, it doesnt go between the toe like a flip-flop...Usually leather, rubber or plastic.   Athletes and "home-boys"  love em.....

You and I are a lot alike because I think it's hot to sniff poppers and watch my husband with other guys. Its the biggest turn on to me. We always play together though so club 117 was the perfect environment for us to do so.

I have no idea why I gave him my ID. for some strange reason I thought the guy needed to see it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. How long were you guys together? Was his death unexpected? I hope you're doing well, my friend.

He died in 2000, so it's been a long time.  We were together 22 years.  He was 40 and died suddenly, but then I found out he had been hiding his HIV+ the whole time.  It was a shock.

Wow! 22 years??? That is INCREDIBLE. I've just been five years with my husband this year. 40? He was young. Did he die of AIDS? had he told you about his status would you have walk away from the relationship? He probably didnt want to tell you because he loved you so much and didnt want to risk losing you. I'm so sorry.

Yes, full blown AIDS, which I had no knowlege of.  I would never have walked away, and would have made sure he had gotten treatment.  In a letter he had written to me that I found he told me he chose NOT to get treatment, for reasons unknown..  There are different ways to look at the WHY, and I chose to look at it YOUR way.  But it was a wonderful. loving and understanding relationship.  You guys seem to be on the "right path"  ?  Best of luck and God Bless... (keep playing together,  it keeps it HOT !)
