floridarob Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 This might belong in another forum, but didn't want it to get lost, so here it is. I'm 54 now and used to have a CRAZY sex drive......recently diagnosed with high blood pressure and since taking pills to control that, I've noticed that I'm hardly horny and even if I force myself to watch a porn, it takes a little bit to get hard...I still do but just seems weird it's not immediate, I also take propecia to help prevent loss of hair and this has resulted in such a decrease in cum, sometimes I wonder if I actually came, lol. Also have read that this side affect will remain even if I stop the medication and that there are lawsuits about this, smh I'm going to see my Dr. the end of the month and ask him and see if there are other options or pills to change to...I'm even getting swelling in one of my legs and I've read that this could be a side affect of one of the pills. what I take now for Blood Pressure is = Losartan/HCT 100-25 AND Amlodipine 5mg , the 2nd one is what I think is causing the leg swelling. I used to take Lisinopril before the Losartan, but after a few weeks I started with an annoying dry cough, even after switching off of it, the cough lasted for 3 more months, wtf. I've started to think it might be better to stop the meds, probably die earlier, but enjoy those last years to the fullest..... There is a LOT of experience from the members here in life in general, not just whoring, so I know there might be some good advice from some of you..... TotallyOz and Lucky 2 Quote

I am 67, and started to notice my sex drive dropped. Instead of wanting to go out cruising, I would just want to stay home and watch TV. Also erections were infrequent. I finally was referred to an endocrinologist by my primary care doc, and after extensive testing it was found I had low-T (testosterone), the hormone responsible for sex drive and response, and was a candidate for hormone replacement therapy. However, I have not started it due to other more pressing medical issues. I would recommend you speak to you primary for a referral. It is common for mens hormone levels to drop with age. I was glad I found the answer to my problem, and that my doc has a clearcut plan for fixing it. Good luck. MsGuy, floridarob and MsAnn 2 1 Quote
Members Suckrates Posted June 6, 2018 Members Posted June 6, 2018 Also FYI, if you are a member of Daddy's site, there is a member there (Funguy) who is a physician with extensive knowledge in hormone replacement. He has given me some good information. You might want to contact him as well ? floridarob and MsAnn 2 Quote
Members Suckrates Posted June 6, 2018 Members Posted June 6, 2018 BTW I too tried Lisinopril, but turned out I was allergic and broke out in hives. Currently I take Carvedilol, Amlodipine, Telmisarten, and a daily Aspirin, for BP and heart.. floridarob 1 Quote
Members Lucky Posted June 6, 2018 Members Posted June 6, 2018 Propecia totally destroyed my sex drive. I had no desire to even window shop! I decided I would rather be bald than lose my interest in sex, so now I am bald. Thanks for reminding me why! floridarob, MsGuy, TotallyOz and 1 other 2 2 Quote
Members tassojunior Posted June 7, 2018 Members Posted June 7, 2018 +1 on the Propecia/Fineseride. Bald is fine. I'm on the poor man's Viagra. The 20mg sidenifhil pills that are supposed to be for something else. (Novatria?). 50 cents each. Gobble 5 or 6. 100pills/month. Would love the shots. Headed to my doc tomorrow to see about HRT. Hear wonders all around. Also green smoothies. Lotz. Lucky and floridarob 2 Quote
Members flguy Posted June 7, 2018 Members Posted June 7, 2018 I'm on Lisinopril and have the dry cough from time to time. Its a side effect. OneFinger and floridarob 2 Quote
Members RockHardNYC Posted June 7, 2018 Members Posted June 7, 2018 I have a research physician in my family. My dad had a heart condition in his senior years. Statin drugs are a known killer of testosterone. Lots of documentation. Anyone who thinks testosterone supplements are a quick fix will likely be disappointed. Testosterone supplements (AndroGel) have side effects, too. The dry cough is also a known side effect of statins. Cholesterol meds are known for causing short term memory loss. Sleep apnea can also negatively affect your sex drive, and leave you vulnerable to other health issues as well. A lot of people don't know they have sleep apnea, especially those who live/sleep alone. Getting older is a bitch. You can trust Cher. floridarob 1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted June 7, 2018 Members Posted June 7, 2018 I used to take a few drugs but then I got rid of 150 pounds of ugly fat aka my BF. Now, stress free, I am taking no drugs. Best regards, RA1 MsGuy, AdamSmith, BigK and 1 other 4 Quote
Members tassojunior Posted June 7, 2018 Members Posted June 7, 2018 My probs more weight than bad BF. When I go on severe diets and lose a lot (30lbs) I also feel better and have more energy. But in the sex department I still need a boost. Today I get a T Test to see about TRT. floridarob 1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I'm 58, likewise on Lisinopril. Was fairly sedentary until two years ago, when (just to think and figure out business problems) after lunch I abandoned the desk and went outdoors walking for 3+ hours. The jizz flow is now abundant again! Just getting the cardio system back into full function worked for me. floridarob 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 FloridaRob, I am with you. My drive decreased so much over the years and I think a large part due to medication I took for testosterone, blood pressure, etc. After my surgery last December for weight loss, I have now gone off all those meds and my sex drive is increasing. Still not what it was when I met you in Brazil but if I can just get about 20% back, I'd be happy! floridarob 1 Quote

The bottom line is that no matter how healthy a lifestyle you lead, if your hormones are out of balance, all the health stuff is for naught. A natural, active lifestyle is great, but sometimes we need a little outside Help. Quote

Regularly elevating the heart rate through exercise can heal a lot of ailments and ward off others, even if it's just ten minutes a day. There's a lot to be said about the benefits of good blood circulation. The issue is motivation. Many folks just don't have any, or they find it very difficult to muster it when needed. It's way too easy to be lazy, and indulge in something non-healthy. floridarob 1 Quote

Yes perhaps, but around here, people spend most of their time talking about it, and NOT doing it. If you believe some of the tall tales told, it would seem some are having sex 24/7... I doubt it... sometimes you need a break to take a shit. AdamSmith 1 Quote
Members tassojunior Posted July 30, 2018 Members Posted July 30, 2018 My T tests came out normal again and my endo specialist says to even not take over-the-counter T supplements. Seems your body thinks you have too much T and shuts down it's own production. She said this is a big problem with weightlifters who come to her after years of T shots. It would seem to imply a downward spiral with T shots: take more, need more. 3 weeks on green smoothies and haven't woken up with even a semi hard-on yet. May shift to 5mg daily Cialis with Viagra boosts as needed. Quote
Members Lucky Posted July 30, 2018 Members Posted July 30, 2018 Recently I had a scary episode where things down there just wouldn't work. It turned out to be stress related. I worked on eliminating the stress, and soon enough I was a teenager again. I hope that these green smoothies don't involve spirulina. Years ago my nephew got me going on that and I ended up in the hospital with uncontrollable vomiting. No more spirulina. I don't think that they did any good to start with. tassojunior 1 Quote

Just everyday I down 1 lb of spinach, 2 apples, cup of carrot juice, cup of pomegranate juice, half cup yogurt, some protein, tbsp cinnamon., tbsp ginger with a banana and some pineapple for sweetener in a smoothie mix for the day. (deleted garlic, cayenne and kale-----yuck). Sexually I think it'll only work if I drop a cialis in too. Energy level seems the same, maybe I should drop a 4-hour energy in. But my nails are growing really fast. Quote

Maybe I should feel sheepish but I guess I am blessed with intact libido and tumescence, though objective robustness of erection has eroded according to age as an independent stand-alone predictor. I eat clean and exercise 5 hours per week, getting a hot trainer at times I want to slack off (average overall 12 years trainer, 32 years self-directed). But the trainer can be less frequent check-ins and program-tweaking at reduced cost. It is never too late to initiate goals. From age 52-54 I set some muscle mass objectives I had never dreamed of achieving, with a rigorous uptick in resistance training and protein intake. Thousands of dollars with a trainer, but lifetime gain. Funnily, some of my comparatively debilitated peers still scoff at the idea of having done that. For cardivasc exercise components iPod Touch with fave tracks. And now my PVR recordings are patched to devices. Thankfully, my only medication is tenofovir/emtricitabine. Quote
Members Lucky Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 Well, soon I will be in Rio and will need copious amounts of cum in order to fully enjoy the activities I engage in. How do I get more? And I mean from inside me, not shooting globs of young cum from hard, fat Brazilian dicks. Quote
Members Riobard Posted July 31, 2018 Members Posted July 31, 2018 You will likely produce more replacement semen, assuming an increase in ejaculation frequency but, paradoxically for your goals, increased frequency may tax the replenishment aspect, depending on timing of multiple encounters (if any) and thereby reduce per-orgasm volume. So you may have a net production increase and your desire for more copious volume while in Brasil will be met over the full duration. But I know of no trick, other than warm yogurt flung externally, to uptick load-blow quantity. Universal laws of supply and demand apply. Philosophically, 'the condom is half full' will work in your favour. I mean, of course, swimmers not meat. Spiritually, a prayer offered up to the Redentor. Otherwise, you are at liberty to cook or bind your balls as I do not pick up breeding goals from your inquiry, Lucky 1 Quote
