Gaybutton Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Wednesday, December 10 is Thailand's Constitution Day holiday. It is a public holiday. The banks and government offices will be closed, but there should be no problem about the bars being open. Quote
Bob Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Thailand having a holiday to celebrate its constitution is about as apropos as Elizabeth Taylor having a holiday to celebrate monogamy. Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Closing bar's for this sort of minor holiday is just daft in a country with an important but struggling tourist industry. Dec 5th I can accept based on the significance, but not this one. Quote

Only govt-offices, banks and some companies will be closed. Quote

Gaybutton Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Maybe I should have phrased it differently. The bars will be open. Only the banks and government offices will be closed. Quote
