Guest Larstrup Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Here’s the Washington post story that day https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2018/04/18/nerves-of-steel-she-calmly-landed-the-southwest-flight-and-broke-barriers-as-a-fighter-pilot/?utm_term=.c52be892edd8 Quote
Guest Larstrup Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 a woman saved hundreds of lives. She was a hero before this and remains so today. Yet one can’t get a direct link to the ABC STORY which broadcast tonight. A woman saving a plane full of passengers and there are no direct links. Yet when Sully did relatively the same heroic landing, there were more links to him than there ever will be for Tammy Jo Shults. This is distressing because a hero female pilot save a full aircraft of passengers and crew, and yet, one can’t find the glory thread to here live saving capabilities. We have so much work to do. So much that in this day, it’s repulsive. Quote

No one in the industry thinks either one is a hero, they just had challenges which they successfully overcame. In other words it was not a routine day at work but it was still a day at work.
