So after a long haul (27 hours inc layovers), i finally made it to Rio. I arrived just after 1.30am and used airport  taxi service per Pauleiro's suggestion, which is the second stall right outside the exit. The next day i went walkabout in nearby shops. Some boys, seing that you are a foreigner, might try to get the 100 or 120 R$ for a massage and, if you agree,  then propose 200 or 250 R$ for sex. With my strong reaction (in Portuguese), I never had a boy going to step 2.

I normally pay around 22 R$ between Siqueira Campos (close To Pointe) and Manhattan Rio sauna close To Santos Dumont airport. This price of 32 is not normal but in Rio when there is more demand than offer of Uber drivers, they propose a surcharge which can be significant. I sometimes saw  surcharges of 50%. Maximum mentionned on the site : 340 % (www not in Rio). With these surcharges, Uber is more expensive than taxis. But if there are just des Uber drivers there might also be few taxis...

Surcharge level should be checked when going to airport

As the sauna scene is a cultural institution, I’d imagine quite a number of clients have hooked up with each other romantically or sexually over the years. Some may have even met the “man of their dreams” at a sauna — who was a client just like him! There are locals who go to the saunas regularly to relax, drink and socialize, and rarely hire garotos. Thank you. Apology accepted. I don't know if you are actually Asian or how you look. But, it's well known here that I am old (70), and I like Asians. So, if you sat next to me for the show and we interacted in a friendly way about it, I would likely have tried to get to know you better.
