Members asdsrfr Posted April 26, 2018 Members Posted April 26, 2018 I have added a few hot guys from Fortaleza on my instagram. They appear to be straight--but then again they post very soft porn pics of themselves, are only mostly found in the presence of other guys, and have like 20,000 followers. Their live feed are always a bunch of shirtless guys hanging around drinking or playing soccer, etc. Occasional profiles have a $ sign in their screen name. Am I missing something? Are these straight guys really marketing themselves--or are they just really straight guys who are into themselves and showing off their bodies. I know it is popular now in Brazil to create a Youtube channel and get as many followers as possible to perhaps get a little ad revenue. Maybe the same thing is in play here. Since I travel through Fortaleza once or twice a year I struck up a conversation with one who claimed to be straight--but would like to meet up and "likes regalos(gifts). Is this another way to connect with these hot Brazilian guys? It goes without saying that any meeting would be in a public place and with a fair bit of caution. Riobard 1 Quote
Members Riobard Posted April 26, 2018 Members Posted April 26, 2018 Apparently some people make a living on Instagram, with vast followers, but more product placement than Youtube tally payments. Then you have millions of wannabes with little life direction who want to cash in. I think the money symbol represents a desire to convey they are keen to parlay their time, which they have lots of, into profit, which is illusive. What that employment might entail is something you have to delicately explore. It is hard to make symbol generalizations. Quote
Members Tartegogo Posted April 26, 2018 Members Posted April 26, 2018 I also follow a lot of Brasil young guys with hot bodies on Instagram, although none of the ones I follow have a $ sign in their name. But they do advertise from time to time for either a local Brazilian mobile contract that has a rebate right now, or they get something free delivered from the local sushi restaurant and make a video about it, or something else etc. Basically it seems they use their hot bodies to get 20 K followers and then try to use it to get their followers' attention onto an ad that is getting them something in return. Can you share some of the $ ones, I'd like to have a look, it may be that it is different from what I see. Riobard 1 Quote
Members Riobard Posted April 26, 2018 Members Posted April 26, 2018 PS, I meant elusive (mispelled). Yes, please do share so we can gather clues. Wish I had been on to this during a very slow 2 weeks in Fortaleza. Quote
Members tassojunior Posted April 27, 2018 Members Posted April 27, 2018 I do a lot of shopping on Instagram (for what Amazon will never have). Unlike Facebook, many guys have a personal Instagram and a professional PG-rated Instagram. Quote
