Members Lucky Posted April 22, 2018 Members Posted April 22, 2018 50 years later, the Los Angeles Times today does a retrospective of the year 1968. What I remember is the assassinations, the police brutality at the Democratic Convention, the advent of hippies, and the last of the real idealists who supported McCarthy for President. But for Boytoy, why not remember the cute actors pictured in the Times piece? A big movie that year was Romeo and Juliet. Here we see very cute Leonard Whiting... Some might have liked Brahim Hagglag in The Battle of Algiers. Peter O'Toole in The Lion in Winter... Well, okay, there weren't likely any big Asian actors in 1968, but this guy would have won my heart! Manish Dayal... Now how many actors from 1968 did you lust for? (You had to be alive then to make a suggestion!) AdamSmith 1 Quote

Where does it say this is a nostalgic thread about the 60s? To show what someone looks like now and also show what they looked like in the 60's is, according to you - "bitterly out of topic" According to whom? In life - people change both in maturity and in looks. Dictionary definition of: bit·ter·ly ˈbidərlē/ adverb 1. in an angry, hurt, or resentful way. "passengers complained bitterly about grand promises made by the company. ______________________________________________________ Where is the anger? Where is the hurt? Where is the resentment? Nope, check again. The comparison was to show what happens to even beautiful people over time. NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY! Quote
