Romeo splits off escorts side

Evidently Romeo and Hunqz are now two separate companies that interact. A message this morning:

We would like to inform you about an update to our Terms of Use. The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) goes into effect in May 2018 with even stricter regulations. We believe this is a good thing for everyone's privacy. Therefore, we did a careful legal check of our Terms of Use.
Good news: We already comply with the GDPR.

However we needed to make an update, especially because of changes in the organization of the company behind our websites and apps. The former company called PlanetRomeo BV, legally demerged into two separate companies: ROMEO BV and HUNQZ BV.

ROMEO BV provides you with personal dating services by means of the website planetromeo.com and the ROMEO App. HUNQZ BV provides the website hunqz.com, on which HUNQZ users can advertise services such as escorting, modeling, massage, and video.
As a ROMEO user on planetromeo.com, you still have full access to HUNQZ users, and the other way around.

You may ask why we're doing this? Legally, the company demerger wasn't necessary. And no, we haven’t been bought or sold! Over the years, it became clear that the two are completely different businesses. In the long term, we believe this is a better basis for our development and transparency towards our users.

it is very unwieldy now... i hate using it. I don't see how the boys get any business out of it.

Romeo really sucks since the change.  Very difficult to get use the escort section..

What is weird is they have big blocks for certain cities but when you click on one to "travel" there to look, it comes back saying "can't do". 

The "easy" way to check different cities is to change your profile location to the city you want to look at. That also will come back as "can't do" but it does. 

Also I save a lot of favorites and when I open conversations/contacts the Hunqz list doesn't have some of my favorite Hunqz; they're in my Favorites. 

I like the photos better. It also seems you can save more favorites + Hunqz than the 50 you could before in the free version. 

I don't understand why Romeo is still the only free site for escorts to advertise. Rentmen and Massuerfinder charge $100/mo.

and....It may be an indication that the guys aren't thrilled with the new Romeo that they also are taking to spending the $100/mo to get on Rentmen. 

I notice the ones who use Rentmen now don't even bother changing their Romeo location anymore.
