No date has been set, right now it's just a matter of jjkrkwood finding out who is interested. This is not a new idea, gatherings like this have occurred in several places. But it's the first time that jjkrkwood has shown an interest, and hosting it at that. The invite is directed to ALL NY members and those in neighboring states. As of yet, Boytoy members still await their invitations. But I have no doubt that we who qualify will also be invited. I am confident that jjkrkwood wants as many people who are interested in showing up to feel welcome. So we await details here at Boytoy. Now I no longer live in New York... Quote

I just attended a couple of DC gathering organized from Daddy''s during MAL weekend, and even when I am socially challenged (let's say I do not bright in social settings) it was nice to put some real faces to the people I often interact with on line, as well as meeting several professionals. In April I am attending the Palm Springs events. The closest thing I heard about here is the famous party in Rio. Totally Oz showed up and I think had a good time. I know that I enjoyed seeing him. I didn't go last year but I plan to go this year. Temperatures should be in the low 80's with lots of sunshine, making a pool party a great idea. Oliver has a nice yard and pool. Before that, it had been a winter destination for many in the community. In the 90s, LB had three gay bars, including the famous Boom Boom Room, and two decent restaurants, Shame on the Moon and Mark’s. At the time, Shame on the Moon was also in PS and there was another Mark’s in WeHo. LB is full of oligarchs and parvenus now. Quote

There are indeed a lot of older people here who like the dry climate, the mountain views, and the relatively lower cost of living compared to big cities. The gay life is not just old men because many young LA guys come here for the weekend to party or play. But, as far as masseurs, they tend to be older, and escorts usually operate out of LA. Quote

I went one year and had a nice time. I think it made Daddy uncomfortable although we both chatted and had a nice conversation. There must still be hurt feelings on his part. For those of you interested, there is a donation fund to help him run the site which he says costs 1k per month to run. LOL This might alleviate those hurtful feelings a bit.
