I am astonished that this is actually a good article.  If we did not know it was already true we would not believe any such an aircraft with it's history could or does exist.  Lemay is Lemay.  Where is this cheap stealthy fast new bomber?  So far a figment of the imagination.

Best regards,

Current entirely broken military procurement practice (plus innumerable design engineering pathologies that manufacturers hire me & others to advise them about, & then ignore us  ) make it still a VERY LONG SHOT indeed.

Where is Kelly Johnson when you need him?  For that matter where is Barry Goldwater?

On reflection, that is exactly the answer.

We need IRON-ASSED ASSHOLES to drive much of anything of value through government.

LeMay. Groves/Oppenheimer. Nimitz. Ike. Marshall. Lincoln/Grant/et al.

List goes on & on & on.

Where are any such today?

[Hint: China has some. So does Russia.

Their ideals & aims are infinitely different from ours. But we have made a yuuge misjudgment in believing that fact matters one whit in who will prevail. For now, at least.]
