Sex for sale is not a constitutional right, 9th Circuit rules

Ruling seems pretty carefully & narrowly drawn, to allow plenty of room for legal opinion to grow into formal approbation of sex work in future.

i am pretty optomistic here.

The thing is if they make it a legal right then you have to have OSHA regulations and stuff.

It's not really enforced that much as far as I can tell.

So maybe it's better this way.

There was a flap here in Raleigh and other NC cities a couple years ago when Republican state legislators started to realize what all these proliferating 'Asian Massage' parlors really are. Can we say nuru?

They started agitating in the press for local law enforcement to Do Something About This Outrage.

The local police departments spoke back in one voice:

Look, we have violent crime and armed robbery and domestic violence and gang violence and drug crime, and which of those do you want us to stop pursuing, to deal with these little Asian girls giving people a happy ending? Or give us a truckload of state money, and we MAY be able to fit them into our already-impossible agendas.

My mother gets her hair done in a funny sleazy little strip mall right next door to just such an Asian Massage parlor:

And around the side of the mall is no less than a Pole Dancing Studio!
