PGF Beach Party for Saturday, November 29 has been Canceled

As many of you know, the Pattaya Gay Festival (PGF) had a beach party scheduled for this Saturday, November 29. The party has been canceled.

 

The cancellation has nothing to do with the turmoil in Bangkok. The problem is that PGF was promised that they would receive the necessary permits in time, but that won't happen. There has been some sort of delay about the permits. As a result they can't hold the event.

 

All other PGF events are still expected to proceed as previously announced.

This notice has been posted on the Pattaya Gay Festival website:

 

We regret that the planned Beach Party on 29 November 2008 has now been cancelled. Pattaya City Hall have refused permission for the event due to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn being in the area. All other PGF 2008 closing events will proceed as planned.
