Actually there was a prediction a few months back, even before all the PAD crisis began, that the baht would reach 35 to the US dollar by the end of the year. Obviously, now it has. I hope it stays that way and continues moving favorably in our direction for a change. Quote

We get about RM9.50 to Baht 100 in spite of our better economy - and that on top of the fact that our Ringgit, while no longer pegged to the US Dollar, still follows it quite closely. At the moment the rate is showing at 35.50. I expect the rate to fluctuate a little back and forth for a while. Then, once the effects of the airport takeovers start to really be felt, if it happens a predicted I'm guessing the dollar will become stronger against the baht. Quote
