I just heard on the news that a man jumped the fence in a zoo to give a Panda a hug. The man was bitten several times by the panda on the neck and arms, but the injuries are not life-threatening. The guy said the panda looked so cute that he could not resist. What was this guy drinking or smoking?

He's not the first to jump into an animal enclosure. If memory serves me right I seem to recall incidences of people jumping in with lions, tigers, bears and gorillas along with a number of news reports of folk who wanted to be just too close to the fence on the outside and ending up with a few souvenirs from their zoo visits.
