Saranrom Trip Report

No need to worry about the boys at Saranrom. They are doing fine. Made a visit to this area over the weekend and was surprised at all the activity. Not with the boys, but half of Bangkok was out to visit and pay respects to the King’s sister. The memorial was set-up next to the royal palace, at the royal field. All this has moved the early activity away from the palace back along the canal. I met a nice slim 23 year old that was very accommodating around 10 pm. Families were parking along the canal, but still the boys were working. I returned at 3 AM and the boys were back in the usual spot, in force. No need to believe “Chicken Little” and his band, because cruising was safe and as normal as could be, at least on this particular night.

Saranrom Park is very special. Have you had any luck cruising in the Park? Every once in a while, I have seen guys sitting on the park benches. Do you think they are available?

Many times! There are plenty of boys around there virtually every night. Whenever I've taken a boy from the park they have been very nice. Most, at least what they tell me, are students trying to earn the money they need for their education. I don't know whether that's true, but that's their usual line.

 

Whether the boys are on park benches or standing, if they're available rest assured they'll make sure you know it.

 

The only negative about Saranrom Park is it's location. It's out near Wat Po. If you don't have your own transportation, then you'll need a taxi to get there. You can cruise with the taxi driver or you can get out and walk. I've found it to be perfectly safe. I do have my own transportation, so I usually park and walk around until I find a boy that appeals to me. I've never had any problem.

 

I suppose you could also consider this a negative: Many of the boys there speak hardly any English at all, but I doubt you would have any trouble communicating. I do suggest, however, making it clear to the boy what you want before you take him and make sure he agrees to it. Otherwise, you might end up with nothing more than "chock wow."

 

But then, assuming you're in a taxi, you're looking at a taxi ride back to your room and taxi fare for the boy to return to the park or wherever he wants to go once you're done.

 

The Saranrom Park boys usually offer themselves for 500 baht.

Saranrom is really a beautiful park. I think it was built as a royal facility, but not sure. I have never seen any gay activity in the park with the exception of one guy sitting on a bench watching people go by. I am not sure if he was cruising or just people watching. He was not my type and so did not pursue it.

The gay activity is not in the park. It's the area surrounding the park and in the nearby vicinity. Of course, it's also all at night. The boys looking for pickups usually start trickling in around 7:00pm. By 9:00 to 10:00 you'll usually find them by the dozen.
