Members Lucky Posted November 30, 2017 Members Posted November 30, 2017 So you think that sharing stories is okay in a thread like this. Well, I do too. But it's not the time for you to get up on your soapbox and post things like this: ROCKHarD:: I have been very frank in the past about my thoughts on obesity. Even though I have a few XXL friends and family members I love, I can't imagine any overweight stranger enjoying some of my posts. I've also been very critical of kiddie-porn, Nambla, and other chickenhawk type posts.. While it can be fun to re-visit my days as an 18-year-old and imagine a shower scene with one of my college interns, I find the look of younger boys to be a serious sexual turn-off. Most images from Helix Studios do not turn me on. Much like scat or latex underage boys (or girls) are a fetish I can't wrap my brain around. I definitely can't bear the visual of an old fat guy naked with a skinny boy who looks fourteen or younger.:END Pontificating and moralizing by Rockhard What the hell does that all have to do with mourning or telling stories about processing other deaths? Who cares what you think about obesity, kiddie-porn, etc? If you don't like scat, why throw it at lurkerspeaks in this thread? You are taking him to task for his weight and then suggesting he is into kids. Shame on you! You think that you are too precious, but the reality is turning out that you are just a pompous old queen. Lucky, I'm sure glad you didn't wait until I'm dead to tell me how you truly feel. Lucky and AdamSmith 1 1 Quote

Given what little I know about Lurkerpseaks, it was my honest reaction to this story. I concede that my imagination may have gotten the best of me. 52 minutes ago, Lucky said: Pontificating and moralizing by Rockhard A fair and just characterization. I am guilty. If there wasn't a timed edit feature on this board, I could go back and edit my post. I'm not going to apologize for honesty. I've spent too many years loving a few addicts. However, I should have omitted Lucky's quoted paragraph of my words to spare the hurt feelings of others. To those who felt slapped, I do apologize. Quote
Popular Post Tomcal Posted November 30, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 30, 2017 Lurker was truely a nice guy! He accepted his “flaws” with a self deprication but did not let them stop him from enjoying life! I remember one night in Rio a couple years ago there were 6 of us in a private room at a sushi restaurant, in the course of the evening a minor argument broke out between 2 good friends, while it was going on Lurker gave his CC to the waiter and paid for everyone’s dinner! No one saw him do it and everyone there made much more then he did! He was unselfish, funny and a really good guy and that’s how I will remember him! MsAnn, lookin, floridarob and 4 others 6 1 Quote
Members tassojunior Posted November 30, 2017 Members Posted November 30, 2017 I'd like to go like my friend's inlaw: on the Paris Metro. Of course with little family it'd probably be a cremation and state getting assets. Maybe I do need a husband. I never had any contact with Lurker but it's obvious he was esteemed here. Quote
Members Lucky Posted November 30, 2017 Members Posted November 30, 2017 RockHard, I am impressed with your response to my post. Very classy, and not something an "old queen" would write, so I withdraw that remark! I think we agree that criticism should be said when the person is alive, or at least not in their memorial thread. Perhaps OZ will take the post down, as well as posts like mine responding to it. My poor attempt to show Lurker some respect failed. I waited eleven days after Lurker's death before I wrote my first post on this thread, those honest but insensitive words. I saw Lucky's Facebook link before it was deleted. I learned Lurker's Facebook name, and I saw his Facebook photos. Even so, I waited to post. As I mentioned earlier, I discussed this event with other friends and family members. It took some time to gather my thoughts and impressions before I was ready to post. In a very personal way, I could relate to this story on several levels. I often view my online personality as my alter-ego. I say things online that I would never say in public or to a person's face. Online honesty is very much a therapy for me. Since most of my life is doing work that I love, I can't afford to speak my mind and say whatever I'm feeling in front of just anyone. In a professional business, a delicate balance must always be nurtured and maintained. My brain forgets that members associate with one another off-board. Some members here are true friends. I failed to consider that, and I apologize. 2 hours ago, Tomcal said: Lurker was truely a nice guy! He accepted his “flaws” with a self deprication but did not let them stop him from enjoying life! I honestly got that impression of him. I have loved several "flawed" guys in my life. When you love someone, you love him with all his flaws, no matter how difficult that can be. 1 hour ago, Lucky said: Perhaps OZ will take the post down, as well as posts like mine responding to it. I wrote to Oz privately. I don't need to have my post taken down, but I would love the edit time changed for the future, if that's possible. AdamSmith, Tomcal and MsAnn 1 2 Quote

Tasso, you should write a will. I have done so, no so painful and actually quite fun. If feels quite good, like doing a big charity donation. Sure the state could use your assets, but it may be that some other organisation could use them better. Quote
