You are misreading my reply to @Suckrates

it was a comment on the number of hours of companionship that I needed.

And yes I have already acknowledged that I spent too much overall for this whole trip, and that the cost per orgasm did turned out higher than I expected, mostly because I did many costly things other than sex  

But given that it is my money and that I had the best time ever, for your “ridiculous” comment, I guess, “FUCK YOU” is the only answer I have?

I will weigh in on this against my better judgment!  first Tartegogo thanks for your in depth reviews!  It is seldom that someone goes into as much detail as you have, mostly I think because they don't like to tell even anonymous posters on here what they like to do and of course the inevitable critiques/criticisms from posters most of whom are keyboard warriors who have never been to Brazil but feel compelled to add their 2 cents!   I have always believed that as long as your not using or asking for my money to do your activities it's none of My Business how or what or how much you spend on your activities. 

In my first few years of going to Brazil I thought that people that paid more then the "going" rate or gave large tips or presents where going to wreck it for the rest of us! that American would be seen as having lots of money to throw around...I learned the boys are a lot smarter then we think!  they know who are the easy marks and know how to work them!  I realized that I was Wrong! So now I keep my opinions regarding how much to pay the guys to myself!  I thing it was Badboy82 who said on there "...it depends on a number of factors , your personality, your ability to communicate, etc as to how much not only will you pay but whether or not they will want to hang with you afterwards for dinner or drinks at the local clubs/restaurants.  I have a good friend who has been going to Rio for almost as long as I have and he just doesn't have the type of personality that makes him enjoyable to be around so after the obligatory time in the sauna cabin the boys are out of there!  He says to me " how do you always end up with the guys that like to hang around and go out afterwards?'  I gave up trying to explain to him... 

While I might think it's too much, if it makes you happy and again it is your money...fuck them(not literally! lol)

And I agree, when you are spending your own money, you can/should spend it anyway you want,  BUT sometimes you need a little "wake up call" ....Somehow when LUST takes over, you dont think with a clear mind.

I had a very happy 10 days in Brasil. It is mostly due to all your writing over here and over the years, which convinced me that I could have a great time. 

It turns out I had a much better time than I expected, with such a variety of experiences which I don’t usually have access to (threesomes, sex with straight guys, spend enough time with a hottie to experience “boyfriend-like” feelings towards him, sex 7 times in a single day, etc.)

One more thing, @Tomcal you mentioned somewhere else that you reward good garotos with repeat business, rather than tips, and I totally agree that is the best way to do it. That is how I usually do it wherever I live. 

In my case, however, I had only 6 days in Rio and 4 in POA, and before I ever go back, the boys will very likely have rotated, or will have become too old for my liking. So that method (repeat business) was not available to me and I still wanted to reward the hard work, so instead I chose tips to do that.

How can you possibly be "in the moment" when you are so consumed with documenting everything ?   I'm confused !    Is it because you are concerned with the cost (at which point you shouldnt be spending)  OR are you just a very anally detailed person ?   I could never, but give you heaps of credit for your commitment.

I didn’t need to keep a record at that time, I was enjoying myself.

I did both spreadsheets only on my return home. 

My own posts here above reminded me of every hire, and for anything I didn’t write here, the Bank records had all the information  (restaurants, sauna bills, gifts etc)

It was fun to search back through my memories for the few missing bits. I like remembering Brasil!

Cost matters only so much to me, but during  this time, I had people telling me they were genuinely interested in replicating some variation of this trip, and were amazed at the low fees for the boys, and I thought it would be helpful to them to realise the true cost, and if their own cost would be different

With this spreadsheet, they can remove things they would not do (like a shopping day in Gramado for e.g.) or add what they would do (more days, with sauna every day for e.g.). That is why I did it.

I appreciate that you did this and certainly didn't mean to insult you saying the costs were ridiculous. People continually talk about how cheap the boys are and it never seems to dawn on them that they are spending as much as they would for the same "commodity" in most of the US. $214 is a hell of a lot for a half-hour in a cubicle with someone who may not be as nice as you can find back home. And it sounds that you, like me, like to maintain a relationship with a good one. That's not easy with a Brazilian. 

My favorite "hunting grounds" is Fort Lauderdale. 2 hour $100 flight , 3 gay strip clubs with back rooms, and a surplus of guys from around the world online for $200. I have a couple FLL guys I bring up to DC often. They mix well with my 18-month $250 regular here too. Very well. 

Twice a year I go to Prague (all the Czech porn actors when they aren't off in Zurich). Free FF flights and cheap hotels. The guys are usually about $150 in your hotel for an hour. Most important they get 90-day visa waivers to come visit me in the US. Several do and I have a nice arrangement with them and the FLL guys. Like you, I'm more aroused by someone I have a relationship of some kind with. Brazilians I'll never see again in a cubicle's not me (and if it were I'd frequent Thermas in Barcelona more than I do- many of the best Brazilians move there). I've done Rio once and had a lot of fun, but for me it doesn't make sense. 

btw-For a short cheap latin hop I continue on to Medellin from FLL where the guys aren't as plentiful as Brazil but are much cheaper and amazingly good-looking guys. Mexico's good too. But unfortunately almost impossible to bring back to the US.

But, like you, I want for people to know that the pursuit of sex vacations in these places isn't cheap, no matter how low the rates. Thanks for the spreadsheet !

i humbly disagree with your statement above! having been to prague, Zurich, and Barcelona many times and knowing a good number of the brazilian escorts at Thermas in Barcelona i can san say that the ones i met in Barcelona were the ones that went to Thermas were in at least 75% of the time the ones who had a difficult time competing in the sauna market in Rio/São Paulo and found being “Brazilian” out of Brasil made them a more desirable commodity(with the exception of one São Paulo guy i met on one trip)!  just y 2 cents

The guys make $60 for 30 minutes at Thermas and $250 for 1 hour in Zurich with plenty of customers. I would think the ones that can get there do.

I'm dealing with the visa problems of my Argentine now (they used to have the waiver!). I can't imagine a Brazilian getting in easily at all. Huge assumption they won't leave. The only two Brazilians I know who have been to the US work at Thermas btw.

there is a big difference between what the asking rate is and what they actually earn if they are not in a elite group! and while i may have missed one here or there, i did not see many what i would call elite Brazilian hookers there!  For every guy who stays in Barcelona or Europe i can name 10 that tried it and came back to Brazil!... just saying
