I think you keep missing the point. You seem to have decided this website is not successful anymore. Of course the definition of success is relative, and we have to wonder how success looks like for this kind of website. The target audience is pretty small, we are not into a mainstream trend here. The admins are informing us that there are over 800 visitors daily. I think it is a pretty good number for our niche of the market. 

I am new here and do not know you. Maybe you have a different nickname in the other site? As I do not know you, I cannot say this with confidence, but I have the impression you are somewhat unsatisfied with this service. I think I read at least a couple of comments from other veterans pointing to the high quality of your past participation in here.

Maybe it would be good for the website health to articulate what changed, why you were an active and positive contributor then and why now you are not happy here anymore.

Also: @Lucky, your penchant for coming here to, ostensibly, clamor for greater forum participation, but then just enacting ad hominem attacks on active posters, seems a very unlikely way to increase participation. You elect to say that my posts must be because I have fallen off the wagon. You said that Lookin's plea in 2014 for greater forum civility must have been a symptom of his marijuana-induced personality passivity. And so forth and so on.

Anger management therapy can be, if you sincerely seek it out and participate in it, a very effective therapeutic route out of your pathologies exhibited here over the years.

As someone who has put himself through thousands of hours of various forms of therapy and counseling, including four years of psychotherapy and then four years of on-the-couch psychoanalysis, I cannot recommend those treatment modalities strongly enough.

They can give you great surcease from the demons that very evidently trouble you.

It's true that the definition of success can vary. It's all relative to what you are looking for. Are you content to let one person post most of the threads in the Lounge and Porn section? I like a lot of those posts,  but keeping content fresh should not be the responsibility of one man. Variety is the spice of life. Why not make an effort to get other points of view? Women involved? (Nah!)

 

I have made a lot of positive comments. This thread was about change and how we could bring more people here.

You cant BRING people here... they have to wanna come,  and from the numbers they do COME, but dont participate.  So that might be something the site just has to accept.  Many people, including myself have started various topics, but they dont hit a nerve or inspire participation.  I am not exactly sure what it IS about competing sites that bring the boys to the yard,  but on those sites their seem to be OC members that basically run the show.  Participation seems brisk, but does also ebb and flow at times....  I say let OZ keep doing what he does, and let the chips fall where they may....Other than him promising to send EACH participating member a hot boy to their home, I dont know what else he can do.  As we have seen from our current political situation,  people are migrating toward a dictatorial rule, so maybe THAT'S the secret of the "other" site ?

I completely understand the lurker stuff. I get dozens of pm's from 0 or 1 post guys who never post but in pm are very interested in the subject of a thread. Usually it's a "how to" question or "do you know" concerning Prague, Columbia, Thermas Sauna or Facebook. Tourists on or preparing a trip.

What I don't get is why there's zero attention to what seem to be the current "hot" ways to meet escorts; Chaterbate, Facebook, OnlyFans/Instagram, Massuerfinder, etc. There are many thousands of gay guys cruising these sites and I keep looking for the models/escorts on them and so do many others and very many escorts and porn stars are also on these sites. .Very many do "private shows"" online and many also do them in person, ie escort. I wish I could find out the sites of escorts I may be interested in to see what they really look like, personality, etc. It's hard to do without a database of people who know that stuff. (In the Prague forum we do it very well.)

For example, it's common knowledge that many of the best-looking guys on Chaterbate are in Columbia. It would be nice for visitors to Columbia to have a thread someplace that lists the guys and what city they are in. Also any personal experiences and how to contact them best. But there's nothing like this I can find anywhere. 

Maybe BT won't be the site that catches this need. I hope someone does.
