Guest MonkeySee Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I found this in an article in the Pattaya Daily News http://www.pattayadailynews.com/showfeatur...reID=0000000970 These are proposals set forth by Pattaya City Hall to promote Pattaya tourism: 1. advice media to focus on positive rather than negative aspects; 2. tell readers that Pattaya has remained untouched by events in Bangkok; 3. explain that there are no problems travelling from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya; 4. write letters to all the tour agencies to assure them that Pattaya has no problem, and it still safe to travel here; 5. encourage local tourists, especially from Bangkok; 6. spend 5 million baht on events such as Loy Kratong, and the Christmas and New Year. What do you think? Are the city fathers going in the right direction? Quote

Are the city fathers going in the right direction? What about cleaning up the water in Jomtien Beach, completing the road works on Thrappaya Road that have been in progress for more than 2 years and allowing the entertainment venues to stay open until at least 2 am to name just a few? PattayaMale Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 In addition to paying MUCH more attention to the infrastructure, I think Pattaya should be promoted as what really brings tourists here........the adult entertainment capital of the world! This idea of promoting it as a first class family beach resort is silly. Too many truly nice beach resorts in the world while there is only 1 Pattaya. To make it a more complete package, they should work on HIGH END casinos as a long term investment. Quote
