It's free for escorts but only 3 in DC?

1. Using the Rentboy name is going to attract the attention of the feds. May cause them to move on Rentmen also even though both are technically based offshore. Romeo seems to even be running scared of escorts ads.

2. They are "non-commercial" because they are free while new. Once they get clients they will charge accordingly. I'm sure many Rentmen escorts will try it out because it's free but I suspect they will not make nearly what they do off Rentmen. $100 a month is trivial to a decent escort who will make 3 months fee on one extra date. 

3. I don't think it's the fee but rather the "outing" yourself as a gay escort that deters most new guys. I don't see any "fresh young faces" on it, just re-posts of the same old Rentmen ads. One in DC I can attest is at least 10 years, maybe 15 years older than his pics on both sites. I still think the "fresh young faces" are appearing on Massuerfinder under the guise of just giving massages which avoids legal problems. Almost none of the over-the-hill tired Rentmen crowd of semi-con artists. The boys love massuerfinder because there are so many clients and they expect very little. I do because the initial fee is low and so if the guy is not interesting you can leave with just the basic fee due. Wasting $100 vs wasting $300 is major.

They have a form to submit questions in their FAQ page. I submitted two: where are you located? and Do you have any ties to the old rent boy.com website? Let's see if I get any response.

Right now there are a few ads only for DC and NYC. One of the guys advertising in DC is a member in the other site. I tried to reach out to him to see if he did publish the ad or the ad was poached from rentmen. No answer so far.

Their whole business strategy seems to be going against Rentmen. Read their FAQ for both, clients and providers.

I can assure you Eurokid in DC looks very little like those old photos. He travels the country snapping up $300 fees. Zero repeats. In my case I managed to endure him for 20 minutes tops. Always meet in public with option to back out or pay fee for just meeting.

I do not think we are debating you, Tassojunior. Whether or not you found a bogus ad (as there are in RM), the irruption of an aggressive and fearless competitor is big news. If it is real.

The competition will be for lower listing rates for the same worn-out Rentmen guys. Backpage and Grindr can be dodgey too. I'm more interested in finding fresher guys with more legit photos. Facebook, Massuerfinder and even Romeo in Europe are better to me. Hell, I even joined Marines and the Women who Love Them on Facebook and a few bodybuilder groups on Facebook. Wrestlers next.

I responded asking for clarification about "we can not appear on the forum you like so much because the forum is sponsored by our competitors". I have no idea what forum they are talking about.
