I have taken our "family" dogs to several different vets around town. All seemed to be ok, but I feel now I have found one that is very good. The name of the clinic is Pattaya Veterinary Clinic. It is on Pattaya Tai past third road at soi 12 on the north side.

The doctor is very fluent in English and has now treated all of our (7) dogs at least once. He even came to our house to inspect the large dog house we built to give us advice on keeping it clean and suggested cleaning products we could get.

I would like to start a poll on how many expats have cats or dogs here but am not sure how to do that..........

That was nice of you. Is it hard to do? Is the an instruction manual some where?

GB'S INSTRUCTION MANUAL

It's very simple. When you are in the process of posting a new thread, first you see TOPIC TITLE, followed by TOPIC DESCRIPTION.

Directly underneath those you'll see "Poll Options Click here to manage this topic's poll." That's where you can create the poll.

If you've already posted a thread, you can still add a poll later through the edit function. It works only if you are the person who created the thread. You have to go back to the first post in the thread, hit the FULL EDIT button, and now you can add a poll to the thread. Only the creator of the thread can add a poll to an already existing thread.

If someone wants to add a poll to a thread that somebody else originated, then only the moderators or the thread's original author have the capability.

I have a seven month old Golden Retriever, and live in Ubon. I have found an excellent vet here. Lucky (thd dog!) had worms. We took him to the vet, who gave him a shot, and 20 pills for ten days,..total bill about $7.00 US. In US that would be at least a $60 vet bill at the very least.

Also, there was no wait and the staff and Dr were both excellent.

I had dogs and I love them dearly. I bought them at JJ Market in Bangkok. Probably not a smart move as they both had medial problems and one has cost me more than the boyfriend. :)

After watching Oprah's show about puppy mills, if I were to buy a dog I would go to a shelter, not to any pet shop.
