Belo Horizonte

I am going to be spending a few days in Belo Horizonte this month.  Any saunas other than Olimpo Sauna worth visiting?  Any other advice for visiting the city?

I'm a big fan of BH. The sauna is big, lots of great guys and some of my most memorable  sessions in brasil were in olimpo. I tried one other sauna many years ago but didn't like it and felt no need to return. In terms of things to do, I tended to go out of the city when I could. There are a few landmarks in the city proper but my favorite day trips were to ouro preto, tiradentes, inhotim (a strange modern park dotted throughout with art installations and sculptures). There are also a lot of cachaceras to visit in the area. Do a trip advisor search and you'll find what's hot now. 

It helps to have a car and driver, or at least a car and gps. I know of a guy, not an escort, who might be interested. PM me if you might need something like this. I can see if he can do it.

I also liked the sauna in BH.  It was very clean and nice.  The owners had spent some money on it.  I also found the online dating apps were filled with sexy money boys from BH.

Thanks Demedici and TotallyOz for your advice.  I had the opportunity to visit Belo Horizonte for a few days and really like Sauna Olimpo. 

The sauna is one of the nicest I have visited in Brazil.  I was there mid-week with 10-20 boys there each night.  I found the atmosphere to be much more relaxed with many of the locals coming in for a social setting, playing cards, having drinks with the boys and the boys being much less aggressive about programas.  They have the typical shows and of course, bingo on certain nights.  The entrance fee was R$40 (it is R$52 on weekends) and drink prices were much less than in Rio or Sao Paulo.  The sauna has a number of free small cabines for use, which they keep clean.  Overall, I would recommend a visit to Belo Horizonte for a weekend.

I am now convinced when in Rio for 11 weeks this winter I'll side-trip to Belo Horizonte and to the UNESCO World Heritage designated town Ouro Preto 60 miles southeast.

Somebody not on this forum tipped me off that a hotel across from Sauna Olimpo is quite relaxed about bringing in dates. My best guess from the map is that it would be the BH Boutique Hotel. Can anyone confirm this? Thnx.

Bobbolino that is a hostel not a regular hotel.  I dont think that is the one they were referring to!

Maybe he means the Royal Center Minascentro, which is the only other place remotely close enough to be called "across the street", but in fact it may be that he was gushing about the BH Boutique place directly across.

Tomcal, you may have additional insight to offer following your trip there in a few months.

I thought ppl say the rooms at Olimpo are nice and clean.  So why go to a love hotel/motel when you can just get a room at Olimpo to make your business transaction?

Unless you are planning on flying in and out the same day most of us need  a hotel room or apartment thats why!  No one said anything about a "love motel" to my knowledge...

Sure.  Unless you plan to hang out at Olimpo everyday, I don't see the advantage of staying near it, unless it is in a convenient location near all tourist attractions, restaurants, and night life.

OK, I chatted with 2 New Yorkers at 117 last night ... confirmed that the hotel near Olimpo that they found to be user-friendly for bringing dates in with ease is, indeed, Royal Center Express Minascentro. 

This suggestion, however, is not useful to forum readers whose own rigidity and whose desire to impose this rigidity on others, in terms of where to restrict and compartmentalize sexual play, will spur gratuitous comments about proximity of accommodations with sauna club(s).

I've never been to brazil and am inspired to do so after reading all these interesting posts. Thank you. However, wanted to know where there are more blonde hair escorts? I recall reading a thread about brazilian saunas but forgot which city it was referring to.

I think you are referring to Porto Alegre because of the large German and Polish populations there but it is still a small number of the total # of escorts there. Two of my favorite "blonde" escorts are both in Rio and work at 117

You're probably better off visiting Porto Alegre, a city in the south of Brazil. The whiter, more European-looking Brasileiros live there.

Thank you SolaceSoul... i think i will have to do a big tour of brazil, including Porto Alegre, when i have a more free time.  Right now, i have to console myself with short weekend trips to Thermas spa in Barcelona

This site, specific to Porto Alegre and Santa Catarina, has not to my knowledge been referenced here before. I have been to PA and I believe these profiles (however accurate or not) are representative of the mix we are attempting to describe. However, bear in mind that dark hair is common among fair-skinned folks.

Bobbalino i dont know if you meant specific to this thread or to boytoy but Porto Alegre has had bumerous threads on BT. And i was sirprised but a large number of Polish guys are blondes and of course Germans both of which have sizeable populations in PA along with people of No Italian ancestary which also have a number of blonde genes!  I would guess 15-20%   All the guys pictured are or were blondes when they were younger!
