First Visit to Rio and Sao Paulo

Greetings!

A week away to flying to Rio and then Sao Paulo.  I have done my homework , made contacts, airbnb, hotels and memorized virtually every information posted here.  Of course, there are always more questions but definitely most of them will get their answer there .  I have learned a lot thru this forum and my thanks to every poster that made a conscious effort to pave  the path smoother for the next guy.  

I will definitely write updates from Brazil and keep you guys informed. If any members will be in Rio and Sao Paulo from May 17 till May 23 adn form June 8 till June 14 please send PM if a meeting is possible.

No expression of gratitude could be complete without thanking Tomcal who besides attending a demmanding harem, namorados right and left, real estate in Mexico, etc  still always found the time to patiently guide me thru this process.  Tom, if you read this, and your field of vison is not currently obstructed by some gorgeous stud,  I believe Brazil should nominate you as a Gran Adelantado or whatever Princely title Brazil has for major tourism promoters.. thanks again

where will you be from May 24 to June 7?  Are you making two separate trips?

From May 24 till June 7 I'll be in argentina a few is in when ascites and the rest visiting the northwest of hours are you and Argentina. I will not be able to report on the Buenos Aires scene   That is wild and fascinating however no saunas and the ones who advertise  are not really that interesting The real real real diamonds are somehow obtained with persistence, money and prestige. 

Anyhow. Last  Night night was ready to go to club 117. My mentor And Svengali suggested that Wednesday were the best nights at Pointe 202 abd I decided to go there. The place is rather basic  needs a total renovation   Very well attended however I didn't find any of the guys to  be  of the caliber that I had expected   The only guy in the room  that  really stood out is Junior, the owner who exdudes sexuality and Who seems to genuinely appreciate the flattering  comments from the gay crowd  Other than him, few really big guys were  even close to what I was expecting. I finally settled on a 250 pound 6'3", black guy  with bulging muscles named Rafael, a sweet and honest guy. Tomorrow I'll be st cub 117-by the way and report immediately.  Good night   !

Sorry , In Rio two days went  by very quickly and just now while waiting for the flight to São Paulo to take off, I felt it was time to report on the days that follow the visit to 202. (I apologize for the typos on the first paragraph in the initial post ...it's tough to hit the right keys when your companion is determined to distract you...!)

Second day, met s guy on the web  a few weeks ago abd got together with him for lunch and play afterwards. It was great but I wanted to experience 117. Took a nap and the highlight of the evening was to meet Bobbalino for dinner at s restaurant s few steps from Club 117 in Gloria. He provided very useful last minute information... like cramming before an exam ! He felt my impression of the place maybe would not be representative since Thursday's are not like the fabulous Tuesday's at the club, the most popular day for the Club.

I made an effort not to let the garish colors at the entrance influence my impression. It's an old building, partially renovated with a style between Liberace and gambino family.    As i entered a very animated staff directed  me   towards the lady (plentifully discussed here), who gave me verbatim the same speech frequently quoted here. Had I informed her that I was with the BT crowd it may have saved her some time. Business like and efficient she delivered her lines and directed me to the locker room. There must have been twenty garotos distributed between the mirrored bar, the video room , the smoking lounge and the various corridors. As you walk around there you must seriously hope there isn't a fire because the space could easily become  a fire trap. High expectations are the mothers of disappointment and I tried not to set them too high. But I think based on the uncertain attendance of the garotos this is definitely a hit or miss endeavor and the stars were not aligned in my favor. I didn't find any of the guys attractive, the guys a bit pushy understandably because  the clients didn't seem Interested in the goods  offered. A couple of black clients were making out with a few black garotos at the bar, a few guys approaching me but respectful of my lack of interest. I don't think I stayed longer than 25 minutes and i was out the door. The lady at the reception smiled more amicably this time and unexpectedly reached out and patted my shoulder! As if she understood I was leaving disappointed. The guy I had spent the afternoon called again. A 26 year old white ,green eyed , handsome guy, unfortunately  only 5'7", very muscular and with an intense desire to please!  I usually go for over 6' at least, but beggars can't be choosy and spent together the next two days in bed , while it was raining heavily, stopping only because at my age a period of rest is needed every so often. Sorry if my experience so far doesn't make for the most interesting reading. I stayed in an ipanema airbnb and got in advance in writing an agreement that my guests would be welcome. I felt very safe in Rio  and visited the municipal theatre in Rio with this guy who seems very taken with coroas ! I'll follow with my adventures in São Paulo.

Interesting, candid review. Love the analogies and astute observations I had not previously considered. Taskmaster Jacqueline letting her guard down was a nice touch. 

Is there a crown exhibit, or simply part of the decor? I go to the theatre next week.

The last two days in São Paulo were fun but without a visit to Lagos. I saw the guy I met thru Grindr , an accountant, bespectacled and slightly balding with blond peach fuzz hair over his head and s shy timid  smile. He's traveling to the states in September and looks forward to. Visiiting with me one weekend. 

Grindr seems very active in São Paulo although I wasn't able to contact any of the guys after I met this guy  and now in Buenos Aires same story. The. GPs are clearly indicated but the amount of Coroa lovers is overwhelming in Brazil. Less so it seems in argentina. 

That's all for the time being. Returning to Brazil June 8 and will leep you posted  !

Hence my question above about "crowns" that I thought the Rio guy liked for some reason or another. Haha, Rimbaud you must be on the inside track of a colloquial expression that is not monarchist but is somehow sexualized.

I find it funny that the height of a garoto is an issue with you; after all you will be horizontal and not vertical.  Also short guys usually have nicer bubble butts.  My most recent encounter the fellow was about 5'6", totally adorable with a smoking hot butt.  Hurrah for short men!

Coroa or crown is an informal term for older people, can be male or female. It comes from the fact that older men lose their hair and the bald spot forms a crown...but again, can be male or female. Um/uma coroa, works both ways.
