I am in Mexico City Monday to Monday. The following is my subjective take.

Teatro BB Show at 21 Amberes is the only club with strippers and private dance area, akin to some CDN and US cities. 

Contrary to my anticipation, the area is more upscale than seedy.

A few street hustlers mainly getting picked up by vehicles driving west on Hamburgo ... where do you get a street name this much in line with the meat market concept!? The boys nothing to write home about.

So far, I have not been impressed with the looks of the gogo boys. A few guys work the door to spirit in passersby. Now then, they are the ones worth making a strong pass at, but to no avail (yet).

The 4 curtained off private areas at BB, ostensibly for 1:1, have no lighting. Tactile and visual combined, therefore, leave much to be desired.

The owner, Anton Nite, seems sweet. He thinks customers are self-conscious about their looks ... believe me, the differential with the strippers is not as great as you might think.

I attempted to disabuse Anton of the notion that any body dysmorphobia we might have is front of mind when sexing it up with a hot stripper. I suggested some kind of elective lighting, perhaps dimmer switches if possible to engineer. He said he would take it to heart. I told him I had a fair amount of money to spend but need to see the guy during the private fun. And that the door guys are hot ...those two sentences together may, I hope and pray, yield some subtle pimping on his part. Shamelessly manipulative, I get it. 

Things get rolling between midnight and early breakfast. My body rhythm is messed up.

Enjoyable sightseeing. 

The weekend at BB may be better. I would love to be Apr fooled, in a good way. Will let you know.

BB bar is hit or miss in terms of the guys there--from A+ to well...

One alternative that has worked for me is if you see someone you like there--get their number and arrange to meet them later. Some have also left the bar with me for short periods of time and then returned to work. I agree that the onsite rooms are crazy small and not much fun.

I have never lacked for companionship In Mexico City but sometimes you have to be willing to get online--or spend time sharing a few drinks with the guys in the bars on Amberes and take it from there.

asdsrfr, I concur!  While Mexico lacks the easy accessibility of hot guys found in Brazil, Colombia and the DR the cities are huge and an enterprising papi can always find suitable companionship.  CDMX has become my go to quick getaway precisely for that reason.  My next city to explore is Guadalajara.

BB again late last night but the same dancers ... it did not seem any were getting "private" biz.

So it does seem in that part of Zona Rosa it will require more effort as suggested above. Even if you have a generous budget, BB will not be a sure thing.

The staff so nice. Anton had told them a few days ago to comp me and they remembered me.

My street research revealed the handful of hustlers from Varsova to Burdeos ask 500-800. There is a love hotel in the district for 240. All AYOR. Nobody I would private with if they were transplanted to stripper bar. Certainly would not go with them, though I am sure many are inocuous and fun.

Earlier 11-2 Botas 1st time. In 30 years of strip clubs, by far the most strange, ambiguous, illogical, confounding playbook for cover, chatting, private dances I ever encountered.

I got no small amount of stinkeye from upper staff tier when I opined, from the point of view of a stripper-loving veteran, about how they might improve the experience, mostly relating to the value of clarity.

This management style would end up shuttering any CDN equivalent.

My approach is not "in your face" when giving feedback, but I am not sure I will be let back in. Maybe will return Sat/Sun. 

About 10 dancers, quite hot, well-built. 

My one private dance with "Anton" yielded a happy ending, but what an ordeal to get him behind the curtain! All to do with cray cray nonsensical rules and regs.

Botas charges hidden fees on your final tab. Not excorbitant ... all I can say for now is to bring extra cash until you grasp the playbook complexities, and find workaround solutions to trump the manipulation.

There is much more to say about the privado, but I am taxing attention spans, I realize ... may add more after possible upcoming visits.

I wonder what wierdness will ensue if in a privado at 2 AM when today clocks jump forward.

Entrance cover 130. Your designated server seats you. Hosts tell you private dances are strictly negotiated with the dancer, but THE SINGLE 4-minute dance costs 150 ... you pay the dancer up front to take you there. This boundary house/dancer is later contradicted. 

Upstairs one of 2 things is happening ... I could not determine if it is guys for girls or girls for lesbians. 

The club runs a bar tab ... I had to leave for a bit so paid the tab to date but got stamped for return. New tab commences.

Typically one of the dancers will sit with you and others will come and say hello. Or they rotate around sitting with you. Both times were more dancers, 10 Friday and 5 Saturday, than patrons. Servers everywhere. Some Attractive dancers, but 2-3 were of interest to me. 

Cocktails 90. Dancers drink water only.

[If a dancer takes water at your table, and why would you object?, 100 is added to your tab for each glass of water, ostensibly as payment for his company, and the house and dancer get a cut ... I am 90% sure this is what occurs, as the adds to my tab corresponded]

By the way, I am just describing, not really commenting on the $$$, very little of my planned budget got spent. Just want to advise so you do not get as confused as me, and you know what cash to bring.

I saw a few patrons go for their ONE dance.

I asked to arrange 8 consecutive dances for 30 minutes with Axel. WHAT-A-GONG-SHOW. After 10 minutes and mucho scurrying around by the "team", I was yet to be guided to the private area, most of which were empty. WHAT WAS THIS CRAZY GRINGO UP TO!?

So ... I tried the old isomorphic one-two punch, matching their terms with an equally ambiguous and impediment-laden playbook. I would need to see their kitchen timer, ensure it was visible within the dark space, and I would pay exclusively in USD ... they would need to do and reveal the conversion.

My approach seemed to generate more productive action. So one of the dancers is tasked with the money market exchange rates and errs, 50% in my favour. But I soften on the tick timer demand and I am getting it on with Axel, finally, who has an internal temporal system one can presumably set one's watch by (not the song cues like in many places). He is very cute, dimply, and built like a brick shithouse. Happy ending. I give him a tip to make up for the dopey currency xchng fiasco. He is doing a jig with his buddies, thinking he scored big with this big spending gringo (haha, a controversial theme on boytoy, n'est-ce pas?)

Fast forward to Saturday. Almost empty at 12:30, few dancers. I planned seconds with Axel ... I had almost gone a 2nd time with him Fri, I found him to be such a turn-on. I offered peso payment. Following more council meetings ... I kid you not, there were 5 of us crowded around the table, jotting minutes and fees on napkins. A floor rep, the server, a liaison with the doorman and street staff, other curious dancers. I blasted at them to get lost, except for Axel. But then I realized this is a high-level contractual arrangement in which the house gets a cut for each 4mins of sex. A model not completely surprising but unprecedented in my experience. So Axel scurries off with the contract for house approval, and we are again getting it on, by then I have even more finessed my own response cycle to time release accordingly. A little bit of light seeps in to be able to see this hunk while enjoying the party that can occur in this kind of context.

I ask for his number. He tells me he is not allowed to provide it onsite. I surmise I could get it if intercepting him on the street on his way to his shift there.

Well, folks, that is the scoop, as best as I can make out.

bobbalino, this arrangement sounds crazy!  It is overly expensive for CDMX and unduly complicated to say the least!   100 pesos for a water while not crazy by industrial standards is crazy in CDMX where I once ate an entire meal of 2 Sol beers, a bowl of chicken consume and a taco for 120 pesos including tip.  If they are going to charge nearly industrial prices I would expect a more refined experience.  What you described was bordering on chaos.  I'm just happy that you had a good time though. Remember to try Tom's Leather bar in condesa.

I know, right? This was a fact-finding mission. I would only go back to get contacts for offsite. Yet in Manhattan I would not quibble over spending several times more for this type of dancer to experience the sex part.

I think my Brazil experience would come in handy here if I knew any Spanish. Fcuk! ... I elected Latin over Spanish in my Basilian Order high school. Bob, that tunnel area gets interesting at night.  I've walked all around that area at night and when I was going back to my apartment past midnight the area was full of young street meat who literally catcalled me.  I could probably have arranged a hookup right there if I wasn't a bit weary about engaging a street guy and his friends at 1 am in the morning with tourist Spanish. I agree that the final stage of arranging a session with a go-go dancer is much more economical in CDMX than say Miami, Manhattan or any other fully industrialized economy.  However, the process you described was maddening!  So much hassle for such a short time in a small room.  Still, if the final experience was good "all's well that ends well."

That's probably "Parque de calistenia y street workout Spartans Park" at least that's what the google describes it as.  I agree, you can people watch some of the finest specimens in CDMX.  I never stood around long enough to find out if any of the guys were interested in making any supplemental income, I'm sure that someone could get lucky though.

Ended up at Tom's Sunday night, walking there 20 minutes. Was quiet. Certainly unique. The music was good and not so loud that it prevented conversation.

2 gogos. According to a local who told me Tues was the night with many customers and Friday was the night with up to 8 strippers, one of the Sunday night headliners was age 50. In great shape and more attractive than any of the dancers at BB Bar. I hesitate to say negative things about the latter due to Anton owner ... he is so sweet.

I suspect the bartrade infrastructure in Mexico, in contrast to Brazil sauna tradition, is shaky enough so as to have online hookups supplant the stripper scene.

Strippers price range out of reach for locals, downgrades the quality as they don't make significant cash, screaming young women are admitted in some venues to make up the slack and generate more energy. Music is over-amplified, cute guys are positioned outside to attract would be patrons. I am still obsessing about one of them, Mauricio.

Finally popped my cherry Ubering, Zona Rosa to airport Monday. Lovely VW sedan, 120 pesos for a 25 minute ride.

I was impressed with Aeromexico, the cosmopolitan atmosphere CDMX, the 50% overall discount potential on cost of equivalent quality living, the accessibility to multiple travel-worthy places, etc. Import the Brazil sauna scene and I am on my way to Mexican citizenship stat.
