Members Coogee Posted March 19, 2017 Members Posted March 19, 2017 A friend of mine is going to Puerto Vallarta for a week and is paying a GP from Rio US$350 a day plus all expenses and travel to join him . The friend doesn't speak Português and the GP doesn't speak English, so all communications are only physical in bed ! My friend has only been once with the GP before , some weeks ago in Rio. I have tried to warn him and suggesting he is letting his small head take control. Interested in other people's opinion. Btw , isn't Puerta Vallarte supposed to be a gay heaven with plenty of GP's to choose from ? Extra paying for someone to join from Rio to me it's a bit like bringing a sandwich to a grill party ! Wouldn't he be better off going to Rio to meet the GP and perhaps learn some Portuguese?? Quote
Members likeohmygod Posted March 19, 2017 Members Posted March 19, 2017 Lol...i wrote a, full thread about overpaying GPs. Is your friend crazy? This is not even something he will not enjoy, but it could even be dangerous. Inviting and overpaying a GP which you have met only once in your life, for a full week in a place you don't know where they speak a language that you don't know, to me, sounds like a recipee for a ruined week. The GP itself will get to a point where he will begin to feel embarassed due to the lack of a common language. Quote
Tomcal Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 All i will say is "its his money!" But the guys i take to Mexico from Brasil get their airfare paid(usually around $700. R/t from Brazil) and their meals/drinks while they are there! Thats it!! And i literally have a line of guys waiting to go! They love the idea of traveling to another country free and they dont even bring up being paid for their time! I think he must have brought that up and even then when in Brazil i pay $350R per 24 hrs for the guys! NOT $350. US! Thats just Crazy imho, but like i said it's his money! As far as the escort scene in PV, it is there but it changed in the last 10 years and also crime is up there! He would be safer doing Cabo or Cancun! Darkseraphim 1 Quote
Members demedici Posted March 19, 2017 Members Posted March 19, 2017 Yeah - this is generous to put it mildly. this is the equivalent of a GP doing about 10 programas a night - plus the travel, meals, etc. I think a little something in their pocket for souvenirs is reasonable, but really. I don't think I mentioned this before, but I once met a GP at a sauna in Belo and had a great time there. I decided to ask him to accompany me the next day sightseeing and then back to the hotel for a bit. When we went back to my nice hotel he essentially threatened a scene if I did not pay him a ridiculous amount which he claimed we agreed to. After a brief argument I gave him R$1000 and told him to leave. Bizarrely he wanted to stay and to have me top him - a thing I do but was not at all in the mood for after the shakedown. I told him to go. I learned my lesson and never take GPs back to my hotel unless I know them well - which means I almost never take anyone to my hotel. My point is - one time is NOTHING in terms of getting to know what you are getting into and to take this risk in a third country means he's lost all control. As tomcal said, it is his money, but it could have been better spent. likeohmygod, Tomcal and Darkseraphim 3 Quote
Members Darkseraphim Posted March 20, 2017 Members Posted March 20, 2017 Tom, the libertarian in me totally agrees with you. It's his money and if he wants to "make it rain" as I have seen many do in Miami he is totally free to do so. However, I don't think this is a business decision I think the poor guy may believe that he's in love which means that the toy is in charge and will definitely take him for a hard ride I agree with the consensus here that $350 plus travel, lodging, food, entertainment and shopping (yes, the poor guy will probably end up taking the toy out to buy new swim trunks or something) is outrageous given all that is available in Mexico. However, I think that he has a strong case of the Latin Fever and as long as he has money the toy will continue to give him the interest that he wants. I just pray that he isn't making a terrible mistake though given the communication difficulties and the amount of money that he's spending. Still, he's a grown man and who am I to interfere with consenting adults. Tomcal 1 Quote

The number of lonely middle income professionals is truly mindboggling! This need for connection and faux intimacy is what keeps Chaturbate and its ilk in business. Yes, this guy is most likely professionally successful unfortunately, leaving the bubble that is the US, and most of the other industrialized economies, has given him a taste of what the real world can provide. This is simply the primacy effect for Toys; which I will admit did rope me in also. I really pray that this guy finds the companionship that he is seeking and it does happen the way he dreams about. However, it rarely happens with Toys as their mentality is usually too geared towards extracting the maximum amount of money possible from each client and they tend to compartmentalize their "work life" and their "real life". If this was some middle class guy he met on the apps I would be more hopeful unfortunately, unless this GP has a heart of gold I don't foresee a "Pretty Woman" outcome. An acceptable, the most likely favorable, outcome would be a kept trophy boy situation. Unfortunately, the distance both geographic and linguistic strongly work against that. If the toy really wants to be someone's "kept boy" I suggest that he learn some basic English and that he does so fast. In this Don Quixote's defense, who wouldn't want an opportunity to fantasize about bringing a guy like this to the US so that he can keep your bed warm at night, give you envy inducing companionship during the day and top it off with great sex virtually on demand. This is one of the prime reasons PLU travel to the tropics, to enjoy the exquisite fruit in quantity and variety unavailable to us in the "vigorous North". Quote

Guest bobbalino Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 If you are the one absorbing them both, it isn't technically twincest, especially in Puerto Vallarta where that tagteaming would need to take place lest we deviate too much from the OP. Quote

After having bought and sent the air ticket to the GP, the GP wrote him a message that he has to cancel because his brother is getting married !! Well, I warned my friend, now he should be happy that he has limited his loss only to the value of the air ticket ! My advice : shop locally !! likeohmygod and Darkseraphim 2 Quote

I've had this happen to me purchasing tickets for a guy I use to see on a weekly basis when I lived in Miami. I learned my lesson really fast, the toys have their own lives and even if you have what appears to be a solid relationship with them make sure that they can be trusted. My guy did apologize and offered to reimburse me the $375 the tickets cost. A lot of guys have spent a lot more and received a lot less in return. If all this cost your friend was the $700 tickets, he probably got off lucky. Unfortunately, I don't think the primary brain has been convinced that the GP does not represent the slice of paradise cake he's been longing for. I can hear Burno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" playing now Quote

So glad it has worked out! lol, if only! I like to date and play with models but, I it would take some serious effort to convince me that a model was long term serious relationship material at this stage in the game. I'm more likely to start thinking crazy thoughts about a nice middle class guy who can have an actual conversation with me and will appreciate the restaurants and museums I'll drag him to Quote
Members msclelovr Posted March 22, 2017 Members Posted March 22, 2017 I enjoy dating handsome muscleboys and models, and sometimes they can be flaky about arrangements. Over the years when I hired, I had this happen to me too. Twice in 12 years with different guys in fact. My remedy, if ever I was unsure about having a successful trip with a hot guy, was to buy flexible or fully refundable tickets. This simple action may cost a little more, but it saves a lot of stress in the long run. I hope that the OP's friend appreciates the narrow escape he's had from what might well have been an expensive and disastrous vacation. AdamSmith, PopeFrancis and Darkseraphim 3 Quote

I'm probably a bit weary now when it comes to "the beautiful people" as we should all be. I do my best to remain emotionally detached and enjoy the experience for everything it is in that moment. I have had a great time traveling around the U.S. and Latin America visiting museums, eating in restaurants and meeting a lot of gorgeous guys. I just try to treat the experience as many of them do. It's is fun but expensive hobby yet, I love my lifestyle now and I'm excited by the possibilities of even more opportunities to travel, see new countries and meet great guys! I do have a question regarding the refundable tickets though. Whenever I've had to call and cancel a ticket in the past I've always been told that the ticket could only be transferred to the person's name on the ticket, even the ticket insurance I purchased was useless. Is it different with a refundable ticket? Quote

Some airlines however - one example is Qantas - will only allow the refund to be used by the person named on the original ticket. I'd say that it's best to ensure that you read the conditions for changing or refunding the ticket before you purchase the fare. And I agree with you, Darkseraphim, that this is both an expensive and a fun hobby. It gives me great pleasure to have a handsome muscled model as my companion for however long it lasts. My experience is that when you have good fun together, the model is compliant and eager to meet my needs. What else should an older man spend his money on?
