if someone of the participants in this forum will be in this cities, we can meet for drink, exchange of experience or going to sauna together.

if you will be in this cities, let me know. if not, you will have to wait for usual blog and probably pictures.

I am thinking i will be in Brazil from January 12th - 22nd but mostly in Rio and maybe the first weekend in Porto Alegre. I haven't bought my tickets yet!

Share some cultural ones as well as those that are significantly related to this particular forum. I, for one, always like to know about new and upcoming venues in the cities that I intend to visit. Right now I am looking to be back in Brasil in August of 2017!

More a lurker on this site than a regular participant but I always enjoy the contributions of others.

I will be visiting Rio (first time on my own) from February 14-21. Like trzinko, I would love to hear from anyone who may be in the city at the same time and may want to meet up for coffee (or just traveling to a sauna together for extra safety and company!)

I did also have two specific questions that probably have been discussed previously but I thought I would throw them out and see if I get some more current feedback.

Others here seem rather down on Pointe 202 (compared to club 117 or meio mundo). But, it is so convenient to my hotel in Copa!!! Just wondered if the more experienced her recommend skipping 202 altogether (or if a specific day of the week is better for a visit).

My second question is VERY broad but I love reading what others have to say. I have visited Thermas Sauna in Barcelona 20+ times and I have always had positive experiences. For those who have visited both Thermas and saunas in Rio, what would you say were the biggest differences in your experiences between the two (especially in how you approach/interact with the boys).

I appreciate any feedback and love hearing different perspectives. I would also be happy to report on anything of interest to others who may be planning a visit after February (especially from the perspective of a relatively "newbie")

Tidewater! I will give it a try! I have been to Thermas in Barcelona 4 visits encompassing probably 4visits each trip in the years, I think from 2010 to 2014. and brazil over 100 visits from 2001 to present. In general I find the saunas in Brazil to be a friendlier more social environment but that could just be because I am much better acquainted with them!.

As far as Pointe202 goes, I have found some of my favorite guys on slow nights in a sauna, so don't pass up a opportunity to go just because someone says "Oh it's not good on that night!" with the entrance fee averaging between$40 - $45.R(approx. $12.+US) after what you spend on airfare/lodging etc, a extra 12 bucks to see who is there on your way from the hotel is not a big deal!

The shift back to previous showrunner at Point 202 has resulted in enhanced promotional specials. This month, garotos admitted for free Tuesdays; the first (all?) on Mon/Wed or second consecutive suite use the other 5 days by a client is complimentary. Whether this extends in some way into '17 can likely be determined from banners on the Facebook page Sauna Point at those future times, or slip by and ask when in Copacabana.

Thanks Tomcal and Bobbalino for your replies. I know you both have contributed to this site often so I really appreciate your insight! You have convinced me that I should definitely give Pointe 202 a try and I hope to give a report on what I find!

I really look forward to seeing how the Rio saunas compare to Thermas and find Tomcal's comment about the environment helpful. I have always found Thermas to be safe, enjoyable and friendly. But, it definitely is a place where most are circling to make the connection without much other socializing/entertainment happening (which is perfectly OK). But my impression is that the saunas in Rio have more going on with shows, etc. I would say that I have found a large percentage of boys at Thermas to have decent fluency in English and I have enjoyed getting to know them and their stories a bit more. I have read on this site that the boys in Rio may not be as fluent in English and I am sure my Portuguese is even more limited!...so I am hoping that I am still able to make a little additional connection with some of the guys in the way others here have described.

I have arrived to rio yesterday morning. Tired as hell after 11 hours of flight from Paris. I went to Meio Mundo last night. I was not sure should i do it, because of a negative comments on one of other threads. But it was friday, which is usually a good day for Meio Mundo. Aleady on the metro i have seen two "10". And it was a good day. I arrived at 17.30 and house was full of cute boys. Mostly boys from 19-25, with a few more experienced. A lot of very hard body and a lot of hard dick on display. I have chosen a beatiful mulato boy, with tiny nipples. I was surprised, because he started to negotiate at 80 reais. Oh yes, i forgot to tell you that there was very little customers. When I first went to Rio first in 2002 and last in 2011 (11 visits total during those early 2000s), I went to Point 202. During the latter years, 2010, 2011-- the place had changed tremendously by having few sauna guys. If I make it back-- I will NOT go to this sauna but to Meio Mundo as well as Club 117, both wonderful in various and sundry ways! But for sure, they have the boys!

My one experience at Thermas Sauna in Barcelona was NOT positive; thus I'd just say that the Brasilian saunas from Rio to Curitiba are far superior. ...completely different vibe. Go to Rio and experience first hand; then you, yourself can make your own analysis!

To continue my story...

the second guy Rodrigo arrived on saturday morning. He was fun as person. But as far as sex is concerened he was not gay, he was not bi. He was having problem, to have sex with men or with me.

So after saturday night in Scenarium, i have decided that in the morning i will have to let him go. Originally, i planned that he will stay a few days with me. Scenarium was perfect as far as music is concerened. On saturday they had 2 bands that really kicked the feet. It is great opportunity to watch how better off brazilians (and tourists have fun) the food is lousy.

When i was i thinking, i really had a problem how to fire Rodrigo. I was afraid that he might not like being fired and that he may do something bad

This is why we went to breakfast out and i told him there. Lucky me, he took it well. After breakfast ihe was out in 5 minutes. I paid him 300 R for one day, no tip.

The beach was not much fun today. Big wawes, water often flooded the chairs, which we had to move. No chance to swim. Because of weather crowd on ipanema beach was not a usual crowd.

I returned from beach early for short nap. I wanted to go to 117 after that. I obviously still feel jet leg. So i had a very very long nap. At 20.00 i have felt, that is to late to go to 117. So i started to play on Grindr. A lot of boys. All possibel. Locals, tourists, young tourists from brazil and south america and a lot garotos.

Garotos tend to be more expensive on grindr. Probably, because they can score max twice in an evening. I started to talk to a nice boy age 26. Unshaved, nice hair, smile and body. It was strange negotiation. We agreed on 150 R for a session. He said that i should pay extra if i want that we go to dinner. I declined. And 5 minutes later he is suggesting that we go to dinner.

We have met at balada mix on farme de amoedo. He looked better than on pictures and he was to talk to. He finished university and he can not get a job. Now he works in one of the baraccs on the beach. And you all now, how good must of this guys look. This is how he looked. Better than on pictures that he sent me. We had a nice very long session. We showered together twice. He left around midnight with a large tip

today Leo is coming to stay a few days. He is 21 year old student of biology who i met on the internet. Let' s see how that goes....
