TotallyOz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I read a great article today in the NYTimes about the violence that is ripping apart that country with regards to gays and lesbians. It did remind me of my own childhood in Alabama where a good friend was burned alive in his car for being gay and 2 lesbians that lived near us were burned in a trailer. Many parts of the world are 30-40 years behind USA on some issues and this one of them. America still does not have this fully right, but strides have been made and the minds of people have been changed. Unfortunately for Brazil, they have a rising evangelical population and you know what that means? Hate will be on the rise as well. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/06/world/americas/brazil-anti-gay-violence.html?hpw&rref=world&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=well-region®ion=bottom-well&WT.nav=bottom-well Quote
