Guest laurence Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 In previous posts I mentioned Sleaze and Swine but, some of those thoughts were out of frustration. If there ever was a Heaven on Earth, for people like me, it is Thailand. Maybe in an earlier time there was another place and maybe, if one is wealthy, their money can find them an alternate Heaven. But for the average guy, where else is there for us? Although there is a hellish aspect to life in Thailand, instead of eternal pain, there can be enduring pleasure. For me, it is time to enjoy it while I can and while it lasts. Quote
Guest Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I totally agree with you. Thailand is a piece of Heaven on earth. It is quite an amazing place filled with wonderful people, fantastic opportunities and hot guys. Few places on earth can compare. Quote
Gaybutton Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Few places on earth can compare. I don't know of any places on earth that can compare. My only regret is that I didn't discover Thailand many years sooner than I did. Quote
Guest luvthai Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Sitting in Sunee at an open beer bar with a few friends just watching the passerbuyers is to me like heaven on earth. Nothing brings me greater pleasure. Quote
Guest laurence Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 My only regret is that I didn't discover Thailand many years sooner than I did. Amen to that!! I I had two friends who did visit Thailand in the early 90s and never disclosed just how heavenly it was. Later, in 2000, they finally returned and one dragged me along. One friend is now in the Heaven in the Sky while the other is a full time dweller in Heaven on Earth. Yes, if I had only known sooner. Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Don't get me wrong, Thailand is certainly a lovely place to be in this day and age, but life is what you make it. I think I could be happy in many places in the world. Quote
Guest laurence Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I think I could be happy in many places in the world. Not if you lived where I live. The first four letters in the name of the place is HELL; the last four letters are TOWN. No joke. Quote

I am so glad that I was turned on to this place by another friend a few years ago. I had no idea for what I was in store. I have been coming here year after year and even twice a year. This has truly become my heaven on earth. I have been to many places in my life and have enjoyed "fun" all over the world. This is the only place I look forward to re-visiting without worrying about being bored. Waiting to return to Thailand makes me feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Although I have decades before I can retire, I am seriously trying to figure out a way to Semi-retire here. My friends and family always joke and asked if I have giving up my citizenship for the LOS. I love Thailand more than a fat kid loves cake. HAHAHAHAHA COUNTDOWN: 20 Day to Heaven on Earth Quote
KhorTose Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Don't get me wrong, Thailand is certainly a lovely place to be in this day and age, but life is what you make it. I think I could be happy in many places in the world. I completely agree, but I am planning to retire in LOS. One thing you must mention if you are comparing LOS to heaven is that to get here you must first go through purgatory. Anyone tried the airlines lagely (not you Gay thailand--I mean economy class). All the airlines are canceling flights that are not booked solid and moving people around like checkers. It is hell to get here and I have been flying on a regualr basis for thirty years. This is bad and getting worse. Quote
