Members Popular Post Peter803 Posted June 2, 2016 Members Popular Post Posted June 2, 2016 Landed in Havana airport late Friday afternoon. Immigration, customs and currency exchanges took about 2 hours. I didn't notice any restrooms throughout the processing areas, or they are not obvious, so plan ahead if bathroom usage right after landing is the plan. It Cost me 80 CUC to buy the travel card at the airport. The lady said the price was raised starting March 1. it's still less than 20 USD from airlines. The apartment I rented at Vedado looked like it needed some maintenance, but clean, and the host is nice. It had toilet paper, soap, hot water, 2 huge bottles of water in the fridge for me, window air conditioner in the bedroom, a balcony from the living room with a view of the bay. The first guy I contacted from Planetromeo arrived on time, looked exactly like his picture except that he is shorter, and kind of out of shape when he took off his clothes. He was very nice. We went out and bought a wifi card for 3 CUC for an hour, and enjoyed some tasteless pizza. He was also very accommodating in bed. Had a good time. After everything was well and done, I volunteered to offer him taxi fare back home. He seemed happy with the 20 CUC I gave. I have no doubt he would stay overnight if I had asked. He is really nice, never asked for anything. After saying goodbye, I was truly tired after a long day of flight, so didn't venture out. The second guy from Planetromeo didn't show up Saturday late morning as planned, so I visited a few landmarks in old Havana in the afternoon by myself. So many tourists everywhere in old Havana. Quite a few constructions here and there. Old cars were abundant and billowing out black smoke, but also a lot of more modern European and Asian cars. Dining in the tourist area is comparable to US. 10 to 25 CUC. 5 dollar seemed to be the norm for taxi from Vedado to Old Town which is less than 2 miles. Didn't see any boys during the day, maybe too hot, or resting from night activities. Hustlers were abundant, trying to sell all other stuff. Went back to my apartment in Vedado early evening for the third guy I contacted from Planetromeo. He showed up on time. Looked like his pictures. Very cute with a slender built. Instead of getting to business first, he said he was hungry and wanted to eat something. I said sure. Then he asked whether he could bring his friend. Sure. His friend is skinny and effeminate, not my type. Bummer. He guided me to a restaurant named Toko if I remembered it right, right next to Las Vegas, and it had decent food. During the dinner, I noticed a good looking hunk trying to get my attention. Well built, which is not common compared with most local guys. I tried not to reciprocate as I had a cute guy next to me, so he disappeared from my view eventually. After the dinner, my Planetromeo guy asked whether I could buy him and his friend a pack of cigarette, sure. Thinking that's probably it, and we should go back to my apartment doing our business, well no, he proposed to go to a night club with his friend. Hmm, now I feel like a walking ATM. I wouldn't mind going clubbing if we had the business first. Who knows what else he would propose after the night club? So I decided to cut him loose. I already had people doing all the tricks throughout the day when I was out earlier, I was really tired of this. Now without anyone scheduled, I walked out from my apartment to Avenue 23. Realized my apartment was right in the middle between Bim Bom and Las Vegas Club. How convenient. So walked to Las Vegas first, at around 10:30, there were a few guys outside the club. Peeked into the club and it's empty. Walked down to Bim Bom and a bigger crowd, younger and queenier, so I walked back. There, a tall, handsome, gym built hunk, was standing outside the Toko restaurant in the shadow of a tree, posing and smiling at me. It's a score 10. He doesn't speak a word of English, so I had to use my translation app. Ok, he wanted to go into the club, I wasn't sure what would come out of this, but guess let's wait and see whether he would go home with me afterwards. The doorman at the club didn't have changes for my 20, and I didn't understand what he was saying, and he just walked away after seated us, guess I lost the changes. The tall hunk was actually eager to make some bucks once we ordered drinks and started the conversation. He proposed 50, I thought that was much higher than What I heard for not staying overnight, so we negotiated it down to 30, no overnight, and left the club after 10 minutes of getting in. It was slightly after 11, the club was still pretty empty. Maybe the 3 CUC cover prevented a lot of local guys from coming in? Had fun, he maybe be completely straight, couldn't get up during the whole process, but I didn't care at all. His hole is tight, but had seen dicks. Still enjoyed it overall. Wanted to check out the scene after the tall hunk left, so I went out again. A large crowd, I'd say, 150/200 maybe, gathered outside Bim Bom at around 1am. Strangely, didn't see many dirty old men, only a few dotted the hundreds of young crowd. Guess things would change quickly after Americans could come easily. Walked up avenue 23 towards Yara threater, and saw the first club right after Lucky Strike, a local lotto place I assume. I was pretty sure it's a straight club with the ladies around. Curiously, I sat down on the fence and tried to take a peak at the inside of the club. A masculine voice interrupted me the moment I sat down, turned around, a beautiful young face brightened my eyes. His facial feature is quite uncommon for Cuban, kind of like young Collin Ferrell, with thick beautiful eyelash and kissable full lips. With his broken English hard to understand, I intentionally put my hand around his waist, pretending listening attentively. He wanted to recommend some girls to me. You look attractive, I replied using my app, and he chuckled, apparently not his first time getting compliments, then he smiled back at me. I guess that's the sign for me to make an offer. So I offered him to accompany me the next day for 30 CUC to tour the city. I didn't want to scare him away with sex offer directly, he looked so innocent, so young and so straight. He said sure, and looked happy too. To my surprise, he asked whether he could stay with me tonight as he lived far to come on time tomorrow morning. Sure, why not. Started to think he had some experience with men. He said he was a sophomore at the university, I believed him based on his youthful look and demeanor. He told me he fucked 3 other guys altegther once we got to my apartment. His hole was off limit, still, I had fun. Woke up Sunday morning, we went out grabbed some buffet breakfast, and toured a few places Iinside the city which I didn't go on Saturday . Nice time, so far, the weekend had been a blast. He really liked my phone, and kept playing with it when I wasn't playing him, very curious about all the features. So I watched this innocent young kid enjoying the phone with fatherly love while he was exploring the phone. Not sure where we were in the city after visited a few places, it was a relatively quite, cobble stoneed narrow street with twist and turns. suddenly, he just ran away when I looked away. Before I could think, he disappeared around the block. Whoops, he had my phone and some extra cash he said he would use to pay for food and taxi because he would get it at better price. Damn, Guess I fell for another scam. Totally let my guard down by his innocent youthful look. Cuba is safe, but scams abundant. I guess, in this business, caution should always be exercised, regardless how safe it may feel. The phone is password and fingerprint protected, so not sure how useful it'll be to him without any professional help. guess it was too much a temptation, and he had to have it. It bothered me a bit as I had to figure out where I was since I really wasn't paying much attention to the surroundings while he was guiding me. Now without the app to help me ask directions, I headed to the direction where I could see the tip of the dome which I knew was the Capitol building. After getting back to the apartment, a nap is a must to sooth the small incident. Didn't think I was a gullible person until now. Now had to use another phone which couldn't get wifi in the apartment. So I had to walk out to get connected after the nap and some snacks. A English speaking hustler was quite persistent this time while I was checking my emails. I wasn't interested as he was not my type, so I just said no to all his offerings from cigar, rum, girls and himself. Finally, he said, I could get any men you want here in Havana. Really? Any men? Eyebrow raised. He nodded with absolute confidence. I stood up, looked around, but I didn't see anyone around me attractive. Most people around me were older regular folks happened to be there using wifi. Hmm. Maybe he does have high success rate to get the majority of the men tourists asked for. Maybe next time it's worth a try to use a hustler and get some straight asses? Since its my last night here and an early flight the next day, I thanked him and walked away. Sunday night was slower at both Bim Bom and Las Vegas, there were a few attractive guys, but were either snatched away or went back home when I went back for them after finishing the survey of the stock. Most men have to work Monday I assume. Based on my quick weekend experience, the boys situation in Cuba is unique. I was only able to go to a couple of places, and couldn't find the posting of other parties people talked about. Looks like the streets around Avenue 23 can produce some unexpected good results if one digs straight/bi guys. I haven't tried, but feels like one may have a high chance of getting amateur attractive straight guys if one shamelessly and boldly proposes off the street discreetly, but be aware of scams. It's safe but poor. JKane, TotallyOz, germark01 and 3 others 6 Quote
Members Ojibear Posted June 2, 2016 Members Posted June 2, 2016 What you described is exactly what I experienced when I was in Havana (twice). The boys are sweet, but light-fingered. Apparently they love to steal cell phones because there is a big black market for them. My next trip I'm leaving my phone at home. The rum there is so inexpensive it's easy to get carried away (which I did). I bring extra tooth brushes and small bottles of cologne for presents. The first boy you describe sounds like Yoel. He's a very tiny man with a big dick. I think I'll stay and Vedado the next time I go there. Central Havana is more run down and somewhat dangerous. Liked your report! axiom2001 and flipao 2 Quote
Members Peter803 Posted June 3, 2016 Author Members Posted June 3, 2016 The new android phones let me remotely lock and erase the content with factory reset, and whoever has it will need my user name and password to use it. But I bet very skilled hacker can break and reflash it. At least they won't see my compromised photos and accidentally leak them. Quote
Members JAYBLK Posted June 3, 2016 Members Posted June 3, 2016 Thanks for the great report, Peter. I knew exactly where your story was going as soon as you said he could stay with you that night. Rest assured, there is a highly proficient group of Cuban hackers who will make your phone very useful. My experience is that the straight hustlers are far more likely to be light fingered than the gay ones. While they are usually willing to hook up for money, they maintain a certain distain for men who prefer sex with men that makes it easier for them to rip off such men. There is also, sometimes, a sense of needing to punish the rich foreigner for exploiting their need for cash. Gay boys, on the other hand, hold out hope for longer term relationships that might lead to gifts, "emergency loans", return trips or even, eventually marriage and emigration. ( I read somewhere that 40% of the gay marriages in Spain involved a Cuban or a Brazilian.) I usually book both a hotel and a casa particular. The hotel is where I sleep and keep my shit. I usually book both a hotel and a casa particular. The casa is where I fuck. I never leave anything in the casa that I would miss overmuch if it walked away and I NEVER bring anyone back to the hotel. Im glad your experience, overall was a pleasant one. One suggestion: On your next trip, you might consider hiring an English speaking guide to serve as negotiator etc. In exchange for some cash, meals and entry to some clubs, such people are often happy to help you find what you want. University students are best as they tend not to be desperate and are more interested in your referrals than in your phone. I would suggest a few but all the ones I know have managed to leave the island and I haven't been down recently to replenish the stock. Perhaps using planetromero to identify someone who will serve that role for a generous fee might work out for you. thanks again for the report. Ojibear and axiom2001 2 Quote
Members axiom2001 Posted June 4, 2016 Members Posted June 4, 2016 Peter- I, too, truly thank you for your report. It was interesting as well as useful. Would like to know the names from http://www.gayromeo.com whom you contacted. Could they speak any Ingles? I'm highly considering going back in 2017 on a P-to-P for 20 days then spend time on my own for perhaps a week. I'm also excited because a Brit friend of mine plans to be there when I'm there. He's been to Cuba a few times and can show me a some things which would be beneficial to me when I am traveling solo. During the tour we will be staying in casa particulars throughout, but when I am on my own, I will do as JayBlk mentioned: I will stay at a hotel as well as at my own arranged casa particular in Habana. Might use www.airbnb.com or www.cuba-junky.com for this. Again, muchas gracias! [When I was in Habana in March of 2015, our stellar female tour guide mentioned that if anyone on the street spends anytime with you, they would expect some CUCs, but to avoid this happening, tell them nicely that you're not interested. Many folks in this island nation are poor; thus the reason for all of the hustling, sexual or otherwise. The majority of Cubans get a mere 20CUCs per week or per month along with a ration card. Many professionals give up their degreed job and work in the tourist or service industry to get tips, etc.] 1CUC = 1US dollar Quote

floridarob Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Like Jay, I saw where the story was going...... I've been going to Cuba for about 17 yrs. The "Golden" years are gone, I see a decline in quantity/quality on every trip. I have a couple of regulars that I've ended up on my last 2 trips....although when making my plans, I hope to find some new ones...hans't worked out that way. Seems like the good ones have left the island or into more capitalist regular paying jobs.... Quote

Peter and guys, Luis, a professional guide in Havana, has gotten rave reviews from a few guys with whom I've been in touch on Facebook. He has a wonderful website, too. The one thing that he DOES NOT do is to help one connect with sexual partners; he has that mentioned on his web page if my memory serves me correctly. If I do manage to go next year in February/March-- I definitely plan to engage his services after the tour that I hope will happen. It's for twenty days; afterwards, for at least a week, I hope to explore Havana much further. Two days ago I bought an "E book" for $11US from somebody who goes by Conga. ...paid via paypal. Well, since I don't have an e book, the man managed to send me the pdf this morning. I scrolled through it and had wanted to print, but it has 85 pages. The information is solid. There is one section about avoiding being scammed. From what the man had written on his purchase page, I thought there would be information about gay Habana; unfortunately, there isn't any information. But, that is all right, for I know of a website that gives it on a monthly basis and have cited it here in another thread. Quote
